Been on the hunt lately and this one came up! Couldn't get a truck arranged fast enough so did the trailer hire thing! 30,000kms ago a Toyota
dealership service manager insisted on the phone and in writing that my Prado's engine was completely buggered - so much so, the vehicle
shouldn't be driven again before the engine gets replaced (only $17,000 for this to be done!).
Well that Prado not only carted a 700kg car trailer 450kms no problem, after a 20min load-up, it drove the same 450kms back carting 2200kgs.
Virtually 10hrs straight of highway driving. Filled it up as I set off, refilled it at the same servo 900kms later for a total of $110! Gotta love
    dealership service managers!
Anyway, just to prove I don't part them all out, this one's getting a make-over :zlove:

Yes :D I was actually dead-keen on a '95 Black, manual AuSpec in Melbourne that was on eBay a week ago. Was going to be happy to pay "whatever" for that one but the jerk went and ended the auction early because someone who visited to check it out managed to convince the idiot to sell on the spot to avoid paying the eBay fees. Little did he know, by avoiding the eBay fees, he probably also missed out on an extra couple of grand in his back pocket

Nice find. Same colour as mine!

Is that charcoal grey or Graphite Metallic?
It doesn't look like charcoal grey, the colour looks like it has a tinge of green in it.

    What colour is it?

Nah, still only interested in very late model Auspec auto in white.

Kind of like the idea of owning two matching bookends with 6 years in between.

G'day Peter, in the Aussie '91 sales brochure, they had it listed as "charcoal pearl" (KH2) the tinge of green might just be my camera...

...saw one of those recently at a servo ...you should have told me you wanted two white ones :(

Lol... yes. Actually, right there David - that's the whole problem. So I buy a '96 AuSpec that needs a full respray, because it's a pearl paint & the car had trolley dints on most panels, no paint shop will touch it for under $7k. So all-up, finished, the car is going to owe me over $10k but when I go to resell it, everyone is like, Well, if it was a one owner, completely immaculate & under 100,000kms, it's probably worth like $6k!!!!! So how many people would spend weeks of their time & outlay over $10k to fix a car up that they "might" manage to sell for $6k. F'ing JOKE right?!!!

Thanks :) Yeah, 80,000k ago a different dealership told me they found coolant in the oil so that was quoted as a $4000 head gasket repair - oddly enough, the numerous oil changes I've done myself since then - never seen any coolant in the oil

And the reason I stopped getting services done at Toyota dealerships in the beginning is because I was clearly paying $700 to $800 to have it do nothing more than sit for most of a day untouched - oil on the dipstick the same colour as it was the day before dropping it off and no fresh clean oil filter in site - nice gig!

 Lol, a cared-for, black, manual, TT... no, this is my new gym car! I've got a new full black leather interior ready to go, double din touchscreen + a new rear spoiler and she's done :D
If this rain ever stops, I'll take a look to see if it's just catback. So many nice Z's coming up for sale!

:D Lol, yes, thanks. Brake fluid leaking from the actuator mixes with water leaking in through the rear hatch, makes a great combination  Still, love this one so just another job on the list :D

...just enough to make the actuator orgasm each time the brakes are applied suddenly hey :p
