Hi, does anyone have copy of the window roller replacement procedure that used to be in the tech section?

I did it a couple of years ago but can't remember the finer points and never kept the pdf sadly.

    Cheers

Is this to fix the rattle noise when the window is not fully up or down? This sounds like one of those fixes I should add to my list.

I do recall Jedi77 saying that applying dynomat helped to reduce noise.

I believe my door glass rattles from the top wheel (so that needs attention) but also down the bottom.

Anyone with a door that has the inside lining (door card) removed, do you think it would be possible to work out a pin hole surgical technique to fix window rattle?

Like drill a hole somewhere in the hidden side of door metal to access the part where glass rattles in mechanism that holds it. Squirt some sealant and let it dry, then plug the hole with a rubber bung.

I should have investigated this idea when I had the chance yesterday.

Just replace the rollers. They are cheap. Don't be lame. This is definitely one of those jobs where trying to be tricky about it will take you way longer than doing it the right way.
