    having owned a few older cars that needed plenty of love. The Z is by far the most dificult car to work on, wait until you start doing something and ask the forum and the answer is "engine out" - and that seems to be for almost everything lol..... or its Dash out......

    Yes owning a car like this requires an amount of dedication for sure but I believe the Z is something more than dedication.

    That one could be a winner, doesn't look like it's been dicked around with & if it doesn't need a full respray - it's worth $8k right there! Just do a manual conversion whenever you're ready.
    If the description is accurate & there's no money needed to be spent on it straight away, you've got to ask yourself just how much cheaper do you think you could buy a nice, clean one for?

    Yeah seen those cars. The grey one is pretty much what im looking for except manual, and that yellow one I actually got my wifes cousin to go have a look at it and It has been resprayed a non factory colour with with the door jams and engine bay still original. So respray and then the other issues it has..

    I am planning on trying to make a deal on another car next week, so will see how it goes.:br:

    Even in Japan. No reasonable sensible person would believe that 45k Odo is correct.

    Just like every person on this forum has a z with 120k lol

    Mostly, couldn't agree more, but some people do store them. My 25th Anniversary model wouldn't have driven 500kms in the 7yrs it's been in my garage (nothing wrong with it - in fact I needlessly bought from Coz a brand new manual transmission & then got $10k worth of OEM maintenance parts fitted all to let her sit in my garage). And the 12/97 I imported 6yrs ago got complied but haven't bothered registering it - so it's done maybe 200kms in the past 6yrs (on a dealer plate).
    Gunwarm posted the other day a '96 model in the US that's listed on eBay with 2,000miles on it - but study the condition of particularly the interior shots - yep, someone has stored that one virtually undriven since new.
    Sure, most are dirty whores but there are the exceptions ***128512;

    Niall you for real?

    A car that age can easily have 45,000 km on it.. speed limits so low there, cities are so congested, roads are narrow, parking is a real pain in the arse, basically cars are not a day to day necessity and driving a long way isn't practical or cost effective. When roadworthys are done the odo is recorded, you can get these reading at over a long time span and see how kms were accumulated over time. My 2006 v35 I've have for under 2 years had 24,000km... did 24,000 km in 9 years (got all the readings to prove it, original docs from land transport minstry) so a zed with 45,000 km completely plausible to me... most Japanese cars are out of circulation after 7-8 years, a car that is still in japan long after that, there are two reasons, one it's a special car (has some sentimentality to it) and two it's condition must be high as they don't accept second best there in terms of quality. I have seen barnfind zeds there go for 50 bucks at auction for compete cars
