Any recommendations on a good compression testing tool? and where to buy?
I was 100% sure the Repco ones would fit without some sort of adapter?

    Thanks

I have a simple sp tester from autobarn. If you have and air compressor I would recommend a cylinder leakage tester. Allows a more thorough testing.

Got a repco branded one. No real issues to report?

How good a compression tester you get will be proportional to your budget.
They are a very handy tool to have & if you purchase a good quality gauge & look after it, it will last a lifetime.
Too many times members have posted disappointing compression test results looking for answers or guidance & one of the first questions asked in response is "How accurate is your gauge?"
There are two types of gauges, analogue & digital.
If you opt for an analogue gauge, the larger the gauge face the better, the readings are easier to see & are likely to be more accurate.

That one has an adapter that suits VG -the push in section just comes in the kit

Ah ok, the ones I've seen that didn't have a full suite of adaptors haven't had one for the Z.

Always hated that a pressure tester semi relies on how cranking the engine exactly the same amount of times per cylinder and making sure the battery has the same charge level each time.

A cheap leak down tester paired with a compressor will give much more and accurate readings.

Thanks for the comments, I wasn't sure I could buy one from Repco as they don't appear to come with a 16mm adapter? or am I missing something here?

Plan to get a leak down tester soon one I've sorted a compressor :)

I think repco do two kits, the bigger one has all the adaptors.
