    2+0 The tray at back of seats over fuel tank how far is safe to drill or screw through there ? Want to mount a amp there.:banned:

    Uh, maybe 20mm clearance? There's space there but would be pretty easy to start putting a hole in the tank when you break though if you're using a powerful drill. Might be worth popping the inspection/access caps off and putting a bit of ply under there to give you something else to stop on. Also note the tank is suspended not hard mounted so don't leave pointy tech screw ends exposed, nutserts would be good.

    No worries, realistically a skilled carpenter/fabricator or whatever would probably have no issue doing it blind, I'm not a carpenter though.

    The carpet tray is about 2mm thick including the shitty wood or compressed cardboard base - IMO not good to attach an amp to
    How much does the amp weigh ??
    In an accident it may become a lethal projectile
    If u could anchor it to those perferated sheet metal strips as in the pic 700mm apart that would be better

    There is an old story about how a rally car rolled over that killed the driver n navigator- not the roll over that killed them but the spare diff they carried with them as a spare part
    It was changed the night before and not back in its special carrier and strapped down properly
