Also that result is with the dual maf taken out and reverted back to single, there was a tuning issue with the selin so for simplicity we put the single back on.

Can you elaborate what the issue with the selin was?

Afrs weren't stable, getting the low end of the fueling correct would throw out the top end fueling badly. Single maf had no issues and made decent power so itll stay for now. The dual maf was worth 6rwkw at wastegate pressure from what i saw.

On the plus it seems the boost issue may be sorted.

Did you/they compare the two AFMs when running single to see if one them was causing the problem?

I would have but the dyno time had already cost me a day without a solid tune in it, so we put the single back in and left it.

Understandable, mine's had an intermittent hunting idle since got the selin and tune but did a heap of other stuff at the same time so haven't properly identified the problem. removed a few pipes and went side mount intake so going back to single would be an annoying job.

That side mount intake could be the idle issue

Are you using splash shields / (flower pot)
Or have a "low speed drivability mod" in place ?

Seems I'll need to change my gearbox soon, went to the drags tonight and on all 3 of my runs i couldn't change into 2nd gear at all.

Car launched like a bat out of hell, but as soon as it came time to get to 2nd gear it just would not go in. If i change at low rpm itll go in. Ran 13.1 @ 116mph missing 2nd gear and had to go to work so i couldn't run again.

Stock shifter? Remember rob had the same issue

Stock shifter just the synchro seems to be stuffed, if i try to change into 2nd at 7000 it will grind. 6000 seems to go in fine so I'll have to try that next time. Car hooked off a 7000rpm launch and when i tried to grab 2nd it wouldnt budge, i changed to 3rd and 4th around 6000rpm.

Atleast its standing up to the launch, how is your 60ft looking?

Pretty bad, car is still within the 60ft mark when the trying to get into 2nd gear so even with a great hole shot it didn't matter.

bad luck man, but thanks for posting the results anyway. rebuild the box i guess

After not driving it for 6 weeks i decided to take it for a quick run around the block. God damn this thing moves, my R33 with a highflow is a joke compared to this thing even at it's wastegate setting. (220rwkw)

I'll be trying an MBC and maybe a new boost solenoid on saturdays dyno day to see if i can push this thing into the ~320rwkw range at 22-23psi. Currently its hitting 18 and dropping to 15psi on its 300rwkw setting.

Not sure how sturdy your clutch/box combo is but have you considered launching in 2nd to negate the 1>2 shift?

Harder on the gear but if the motor has the goods to do it it could solve both having to shift and losing out in the 60. I've done it in other cars using the handbrake method to good effect.

2nd is too tall, car dead hooks at 7000RPM in 1st so trying in 2nd would just cause it to bog. I'm currently running redline lightweight shockproof, i think someone recommended i try MT90. I'll change the oil and try again. Car has an 11 in it for sure, 116MPH on my mid boost setting and missing 2nd gear is a decent amount of power.

Just had a quick look at all my dyno sheets to compare boost vs KW at certain RPM ranges.

Seems like the car makes 9-10rwkw per PSI of boost from 4000-6000RPM and 11.5kw per PSI after 6000RPM, this seems constant from wastegate pressure to the higher boost settings. If i can get it to hit that 22-23PSI mark again, dropping to 15psi ofcourse it should touch 320rwkw or so.

The 33 needs more cubes, 30 bottom once the Z's 'done'?

I would expect 300kw with drag radials would be able to blow the teeth off second gear, boxes are tough but if there's no wheel spin that'd be a heap of load.
