Get a great set of tyres (im personaly a big fan of the hankook rs3) coilovers, lca and toe arms front and rear set the alignment up and hit the corners. You'll never compete with a turbo'd car in an NA. Good suspension and tyres and you will have a chance around the bends.
    Well it works for me

Stop being a bitch and nitrous the bejesus out of it. Hopefully the motor will last long enough to get you off your P's before it shits the bed and you can go TT, if not you'll have it off the road long enough anyway like every other zed owner.

Wow, that last part is way to accurate... 5 years of owner ship, 1 year on the road.... currently sitting in the yard with a miss under load

Bend it around a tree as too many kids do.

Then if you survive buy a TT when you are old enough

Not many HP's to be gained on a NA. Just take it easy and enjoy it.
Most important is to keep up the maintenance and not spend money on worthless upgrades.

really cant stress proper maintenance enough... the difference in performance from fixing my o2 sensor, knock sensor and VCT solenoid was madness.

go the opposite direction. find some shagged shocks and the cheapest tyres you can find (older the better)
when its raining, you can chirp second with clutch dumps and pretend you are driving a sports car haha.

but in all seriousness, my first car was an old rwd celica with 95hp at the crank. it taught me alot about driving smooth to make the most of the pathetic power it had. there is a reason p platers cant be trusted with powerful engines... so many nice TTs have been needlessly killed due to inexperience. plus it makes insurance on the zed expensive. and parts will eventually be hard to come by as they inevitably get scrapped and melted down.
tldr: wait until you get your fulls.
btw cold air intakes do absolutely nothing lol plus cops will defect you for it.
