    Hi everyone,

There is one final formality to announce for our recent jaunt to Orange for Zedfest #7...

The Lucky Door Prize!!! for the Presentation Dinner...

You might well ask ?What Lucky Door Prize? I don't remember hearing anything about a Lucky Door Prize!!?!? and that would be a rather good question...

Well, I was contacted back in January by lloydt13, the extremely talented man responsible for the Z32 Mercury that those who attended Zedfest #6 in Gunnedah were privileged to be able to see, where he told me the disappointing news that he and his partner Terry wouldn?t be able to make it to Orange for this year's Zedfest because they had another event on at the same time - the Vintage Caravan Nat?s at South West Rocks (about halfway between Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour on the NSW coast) where he was going to unveil a '58 Sunliner Caravan that he'd done up to match the awesome Z32 Mercury...

The Z32 Mercury with its matching '58 Sunliner Caravan... :cool2:

Now, not content to just let me (us) know that he wasn?t going to make it, Lloyd said "Now that said I still want to be part of Zedfest in my own small way and let people that know me that I'm thinking of them. So I've had a bit of a muck around in the shed and made a give-away prize that`s not a pro`s job, but I think is cool. It`s very Hot Rod and Custom based, but this is me and the Mercury, and that`s the whole point, ha, ha!!?!

An unbelievably kind gesture, from an incredibly talented man!

And here it is, Lloyd's awesome prize donation (the milk crate underneath will give an idea of its overall size):

Now I'd best try and keep this post from being as word-heavy as my post-Zedfest wrap-up, so let's just say that, in a moment of poor form due to the amount of work that was being put in to getting Zedfest off the ground, I forgot to pack Lloyd's awesome Presentation Dinner prize in either the Zed, or the Subaru Forester we brought as support vehicle...  :(

Sorry about that, Lloyd, and all of you that came to Dinner...

    :sorry:

Nonetheless, after consultation with, and grovelling to, Lloyd :)rofl:), it was decided to plow on, draw the prize and award it, retrospectively, from amongst those who came to the Presentation Dinner... So, with the help of a little program-coding, a random victor was drawn... :D

The winner of Lloyd's great prize has wound up to be, in my opinion, the one person attending Zedfest who deserved it most, both for their forethought, and their generosity with their time - both during Zedfest, and after...

So, without further ado, the WINNER IS:

    shineyzx!!!

Congratulations, mate! Well deserved, and please check your PM's for details on collecting your unique, one-of-a-kind prize...

Picture of Mercury and VAN = WOW (Just noticed he still has the stock Z32 rims on it, how cool, and they really suit it imo.)

Prize piece = WOW even if it is upside down.

And congrats to shineyzx for being the random winner, now you can say the rest are random losers. :D

Nice job lloydt13, right into that sort of thing, really like this stuff if you look closely some of it SOOOO complex, using some of the techniques you used on that awesome prize.

    Congratulations

Congratulations Ben , It will definately add some color to your shed as the colors in the 4 panels are candy paint , point a bright light at it or take it out into the sun shine and it just gets brighter here`s a better pic of the colors for other people and it was taken when the clear coat was drying and Brisz is right with the blue at the top the Z is upside down ..

After i sanded and buffed it, getting a decent photo was almost impossible as it reflected back everything that was in front of it ..

And Thank You Iain mission accomplished my friend take a bow for a job well done and keep smiling Mate ..

And finally Thanks for the comments on the van, the car and van have been a real hit for the 14 days we have been away and we got used to cars on the freeway beside us with camera`s out the window.. Here`s a side on pic parked out side my sisters place in Brisbane on the way home ..
