Comments:

This is a Genuine 03/1997 2 seat slicktop with import plate.

I have owned this car for over 5 years and have never had any issues with it.

Iam the second owner of the car in australia.

Car has been kept undercover for most of the time i have owned it.

Have received many comments on the look and condition of the car.

Interior:

Interior is in excellent condition.

Factory black cloth with white 300zx logo on the front seats, no wear or tear on seats.

Still has factory flare in passenger foot well.

Steering wheel has no signs of wear or tear.

Drivers side air bag.

sun visors and roof lining in perfect condition.

Boot plastics have no scratches etc. however there are cutout from where a rear strut brace was previously fitted. it is now lined with black carpet.

All electrics working perfectly.

AIR-CON has just been re-gassed and working great (January 2015)

Vents in dash have not lifted which is a common occurrence.

Console surround and plastics are in good condition.

Rear cargo blind is in perfect condition.

Includes black floor mats with white ?Z? logo and also black throw over seat covers with red ?300ZX? logo.

Has a JVC single Din Headunit with bluetooth installed along with soundstream front and rear speakers.

Custom boot install which is very neat comprising of a 4CH 800watt sound stream amp, 1CH 620watt amplifier and capacitor in a false floor setup.

Also has a 12inch subwoofer in a custom made box which fits neatly in the left hand corner of boot.

The boot still has the spare tyre in the well and can easily be reverted back to stock by removing false floor setup.


Engine:

100,000km service was completed at 72,000kms.

Engine is quiet and runs well.

Engine bay is neat.

Has a JWT pod filter, Titek magnetic sump plug in red.

Always use full synthetic high quality oil.

Battery was replaced approx 6 months ago with an AC Delco.

Suspension:

All parts approx 15,000kms since installed.

I have an engineers certificate for the suspension setup.

Tein MONOFLEX coil overs, fully adjustable
Stillen sway bars front and rear
Stillen urethane bushes
Stillen rose joint end links front and rear
Stillen front adjustable camber arms
Tein front pillowball tension rods

Exhaust:

Installed is a BILLY BOAT 2.5insh with QUAD 4.5 inch tips

Currently has stock mid pipe installed but will supply BILLY BOAT mid pipe with car.

The exhaust note sounds great and is very unique.

I have received many compliments on the exhaust look and sound.

Exterior:

Windows have been tinted.

Genuine windscreen wipers installed that have not been re- painted.

Paint is in good condition with some minor marks and chips etc.

Paint has a good amount of shine to it.

Genuine urethane 2K front bar installed with side indicators, factory front bar will be supplied.

Factory rear spoiler.

Electric side mirrors work great.

Drivetrain/Brakes:

Lightweight single piece tailshaft.

Gearbox is very smooth.

Larger 324mm front brakes installed with UAS adaptors, braided brake and clutch lines.
CHILLI Brake master cylinder brace installed.

DOT 5.1 brake fluid.

Tyres/wheels:

Tyres are in good condition.

350z wheels painted in gunmetal grey

 

Rego has just been paid for full 12 months. Expires January 2016

 

I'm not trying to pollute this thread but wouldn't a '97 have velour seats?

 

Tweed was reintroduced...

in the later model Zeds. But I believe it was slightly different and a little nicer than the tweed in the early model Zeds. Out of all the fabrics, it was the most durable.

 

seems to be more durable than 20 year old leather too.

 

Spot on, definitely nicer than the early model tweed seats. They are the stock seats.

 

Late model tweed is black and the seats are stitched with a logo.

 

Innocent question here. What does your info say about the year of this car? To me the tweed looks gray and there are no pics of a stitched logo.

Yep. Not sure of the ins and outs of it but it did become available again. Might have become standard once more with digital being an option, but I'm not really sure. One of those geeky facts that I couldn't give two shits about remembering haha.

- Air con seems as though it may be leaking gas, compressor currently runs ok but not getting very cold.
