    Ok, long story short, this is the second Zed I have owned, after the first was written off by a careless driver who shall not be named and shamed (Mainly because he drove off before I could get those details). It was imported to Queensland after being a track car in Japan, to the owner of PSI, who had it as a daily drive for his Daughter. I bought it off her, and shipped it over, not realizing that WA licensing was a lot harder than Queensland licensing...

    Anyway, it needs to go, I'm sick of looking at it in the garage and it needs someone else to treat it right.

    The good bits, as I have been informed;
    • Upgraded Organic Clutch. This thing is heavy. And awesome.
    • Ported heads for that rumbly feel
    • Rear Fiberglass wing has been modified, no bubbling at all. However the eye level break light has been moved
    • 18" rims with low profiles, as seen in the pics. Front passenger has a gouge (not me, original owner who neglected to mention)
    • Upgraded body kit, looks mean, more air flow, unsure of make sorry
    • twin 3" straight through exhausts to cannons (no CATS installed but will come with the car)
    • Upgraded to Kicker speakers all around with 400.4 kicker amp. Loud and clear
    • Upgraded battery, near new, as this car hasn't really been driven
    • Adjustable Coilovers, again unsure of brand but it sits a little low atm
    • The owner did say they upgraded the turbos, but without pulling a lot apart I can't confirm this sorry
    • HICAPS locked out. Wear out those tires
    • Kicker cabling run for a sub, original JL Audio and amp sold as they looked stupid in the boot/couldn't see behind you
    • Factory standard blue cloth interior. Rare apparently, looks cool with the blue car though
    • Upgraded front rose joints. I know that because the Pit inspector told me off for driving it with "race spec" suspension.

    The bads;
    • Small scuffs on the paint work, will upload photos shortly of the spots. Touch up stick will work wonders
    • Tick from the high end of the block, unsure of the cause. Quiets down after running for a bit so might just be oil?
    • NOT REGISTERED IN WA. Apparently in Queensland this car will roll/scrape over the pits no worries, but WA is a bit more picky
    • The wiring for the 3rd brake light is terrible. Easy fix but ew
    • There is a list of things that need doing to make the car roadworthy. I can supply this list once I find it, but the CATS are already purchased and will come with the car, tires are easy (swap over your stock rims for the inspection) and the ride height is a quick fix. Washer bottle also purchased but not fitted
    • Handbrake needs adjusting. I do not have the time or patience for this car anymore, but it seems to just need the boots adjusted in the rear

    That's all I can think of for now. If I think of anything else I'll put it up, but for now until I upload these photos please sms or email me for details. Reminder, this is an urgent sale, but that doesn't mean I want someone to come over and offer me 2 grand. This thing cost me 9k, then 2.5k to ship, and a further 1.5k in parts. I'm already annoyed as it is.

    Sample of the car;

    Thanks Scotty, it's a shame and if I had more spare time I'd work on her, but she needs a better home than I can give her right now :p
    Once she's on the road and registered she will be a real eye turner for sure :)

    Ok this needs a drop.

    Car is now $8k. It's taking up garage space and I'm sick of looking at it not being used.

    have you attempted to have it licensed in wa (over the pits) or not tryed as yet.

    any potential WA buyer probly wants to know what he/she will need to do to get it licensed here, so the pit list would be handy if youve got one.....

    good luck with sale, its a great looking car............

    Can tell you now the following are going to need addressing

    • Coilovers (can be engineered if they have positive rebound, no positive rebound no engineer signoff)
    • Rose Joints (again can be engineered if they are of decent quality)
    • Cats obviously need to be on the car and functional
    • Exhaust volume under the required limit
    • Height of the car, if its scraping its too low
    • Rim's (need to ensure they meet the criteria, the +1" etc rules and that the speedo is still accurate if the track has been adjusted)
    • It sounds like the 3rd brake light is on there and working but just need to make sure this is the case.

    I know because I am going through this at the moment to get my car rego'd. Rose joints are a bit of an issue, but you can get them engineered. Lots of misinformation about it but you just need decent quality rose joints, have to have dust boots and engineer signoff. Yes I know it says "recommended" to have dust boots but you will get picked on by the transport department if you don't. E.g. don't make yourself a target. Also keep in mind, just because you get engineer signoff, doesn't meant it won't get rejected for mod approval. The transport department can still be pissy.

    Some of the items I have listed are small things, but it's the small things that can nail you and then you have wasted a day going to the pits. But the rose joints and coilovers are your biggest issue. That and the height, so if you go stock suspension to get over pits it would fix both.

    Hi guys, sorry it has been so long. It has been a hectic time of the year.

    I have run it over the pits in WA, and I located the list of 'defects' it has;
    • Cats to be installed - already purchased, cannot find someone to install in my area apart from rip offs
    • Clean the engine and gearbox - Ok... It's a little dirty, it came over from Queensland ffs. So degreaser and away we go
    • battery to be secured - Already done. $50 for a clamp.
    • Park lamps to operate correctly - These do work correctly...
    • Stop lamp at eye level - Done. Wiring is a bit blah but it works
    • Plate lamps to operate correctly - They do. A lot of this is bs I think.
    • Reverse lamps to operate correctly - See above. Never going back to this inspection station
    • Washers to operate correctly - Bought the washer bottle. $110 for that. Just needs an install
    • Seat belts in rear - These were under the seat. Fixed
    • Bonnet prop to stay in place - Fixed. Simple clip.
    • Suspension (front caster rods) not rated for road use - no idea.
    • Too low (fully loaded) - easy fix, it's on coilovers just have no tools/time
    • Linkage play - Again, I think he was looking for things to pick on
    • Brake lines to be compliant - It has braided brake lines. These are bad apparently.
    • Foot brake rectify swerving - I've hit the brakes a lot and didn't notice this?
    • Park brake to operate correctly - This is the annoying one. The park brake doesn't work, I think it needs the rear boots adjusted but I cannot figure it out
    • All tires fit to placard - it's on 18's instead of 16's, and the rears are bigger. If you have a spare set of rims throw these on and all good. Had a member offer a spare set as well so can always ask on here
    • General exterior - Where the rollcage was bolted in there are holes. $2 worth of rubber grommets will fix this issue
    • Mod permit needed for air filter and coilovers, he said he could do that for me no worries
    • Rectify rattle in the rear of the vehicle - This has been done, the rattle was a spanner. ffs.

    Will post photos up shortly of interior and engine bay

    Was this turkeys name " BillyBob Ripoffski " :rofl: sounds like a lot of the stuff he pinged you on was bullshit to scam you out of a few extra bucks, or he seriously doesn't know crap about his "job" or the rules.

    I dunno man, alot of that stuff listed is really basic and should have been sorted long before going over the pits. I mean come on, non-working park brake, battery not secured, non-adr bake lines along with coilovers, rose jointed suspension, too low and no cats. I'm all for getting another zed back on the road but these are easy things to spot. No wonder they gave you a list of stuff to fix, you probably annoyed the crap out of them and came across as just another punk with an import.

    The issue I have is this car was licensed and running in Queensland. They had no issues rolling it over the pits, so this stuff didn't seem to matter. Once I rolled it over and all the little stuff got picked up I asked the original owner, and they had no idea.

    Most of the little stuff is sorted out as stated in the list, it's the big things like CATs and ride height I can't fix myself.

    Honestly its irrelevant that it was rego'd in QLD because each state has their own rules and regs regarding rego'd cars. You do have the whole ADR's as an overall thing for compliance but then you get all the other crap each state wants to police. Hell I watched a mate get his car rejected because it had factory HID's. This is car that passed compliance in QLD and pits but got pinged here. Whilst he argued with the pits guy that it was all stock and should pass as it did in QLD, their response was fairly simple "well we aren't in QLD are we!".

    Any car being re-rego'd in another state goes over the pits, with the exception of cars that are from memory less than three years old and under a certain mileage.

    Problem with your height is that even if you adjust the coilover's you still need a permit, and generally you will find to get the permit you need to go for engineering inspection on them to prove they are not too hard. Your CAT's are going to need exhaust work, no way around that, and no way that was legal in any state. So it may have been over the pits once...

    You will need to sort your suspension issues, any movement, either replace the rose joints or find an engineer who will sign off on them. And the brake lines and other stuff all need to be sorted. That said the body looks clean and the paintwork as well, but that doesn't help when it's unrego'd.

    My apologies if I come across harsh but after frequenting many car forums, and seeing daily people going over the pits with all sorts of stuff that should have been sorted long before going over, it starts to get a bit tiresome. I will never understand why people go over the pits with bald tyres...

    Price drop again. This is taking up much needed space and time I don't have.

    Price is now 7k ONO. Will also be listed on Gumtree and Carsales shortly.
