Hey guys my Aircon won't warm up even when I put it on max heat, Is there a few areas I should be going over? Its getting a bit chilly in the mornings so it wouldn't go astray

    Haha

It's prob been bypassed mate due to a stuffed heater core or faulty taps.
At a stab I'd say 70% of Zeds have no heaters :D

    Vital info when posting helps.

When posting please specify relevant info such as in your case "Manual type heater control or climate control." Whether you just got the vehicle or you are a long time owner. Also any work done to the relevant area you are having issues with.

Check to see if its been bypassed mate first.

In the tech section will be further info on doing a bypass.

Have a look there, then go look at the back of your engine and see if the heater hoses have been re-routed as in the bypass procedure.

If not then someone a lot smarter than me will need to help you diagnose climate control fault.

On that note there is a diagnostic procedure for the valves and sensors for the climate control unit.

Do a search on forum threads too, there will be a lot but you'll learn a bit on the way.

In the tech section, service manual download. Diagnostic section. check that out too.

For future reference when they tell you to look at the fsm. That's what they mean.. It's not too hard to read and follow.

You gotta forgive some members on here too, they've answered these questions a million times over.

Research is your best friend now ... :D

Edit.. Just in case you can't see the tech section menu button above

There isn't anything on a Z32 that can't be fixed.
The limiting factors are dollars & amount of work involved.
Common problems are a defective heater tap, which will require dash disassembly to gain access.
Leaking heater core or rubber hose/s, which will have been bypassed.
These are located at the rear of the engine & connect to two pipes attached to the heater core & protruding through the firewall.

I was polite. I said PLEASE.

I am always helpful and careful not to offend or make members feel stupid. I just thought that relevant info will get a quick and concise answer which is what new members would want. I would not want to demean anyone.

As was written look for the bypass which would be in the middle of the firewall between the back of the engine. you should see the two hoses disappearing into the firewall and the ends going nowhere. Where these hoses should be going to will have a piece of hose in a horseshoe shape like this below.

    This is the location.

    And a closer look again

    Hope this helps.

disconect the heater hoses at the back of the engine and check to see if the heater tap is turned of ,put a garden hose in one end of the hoses and turn on the hose ,only a small amount (dont blow the heater core)if the tap isnt turned on your problem is probebly the motor that drives the cable to the tap on off. the tap motor is on the left of the foot well. remove the cover that is bolted (screwed) to the console left side and if you put your small hand as far forward as you can you can feel the box the motor is housed in the motor is probably ok but out of adjustment.you need it out to find out
