Hey everyone, its been a while since i've been on the forums and sadly I'm back to ask for help regarding my zed which was stolen today from Laverton Train Station, Victoria.

If anyone has seen it (picture below) being driven or parked anywhere please let me know or report it.

Has been my pride and joy for 3 years now and has always been cared for.
    Any help is truly appreciated.

    Thanks

Thought I should let everyone know just in case you see the car, It was found a few weeks ago, no real damage and I should be getting it back next week after all the mechanical checks and minor damage repairs are completed.

Hopefully doesn't feel too tainted but I think i'll be happy to have it.

    Thanks guys

Good to hear you got it back Dan. And yes hopefully it's alright and not tainted to badly. Maybe have a cleansing ceremony wash it with some Bundy Rum too get rid of the stench of scumbag thieves out of it .

Mate, that is great news - that fact it wasn't slammed into a guard rail/wall/ditch resulting in a bent chassis, or even torched...... you should feel very lucky! Will be good to hear when it's back on the road again. :)

Cheers guys, will definitely be cleaning it through and through.

I haven't spoken to the police recently, but last time I did they said they have footage of them. I think they had practically been stealing a car a day at this train station and surrounding ones.

The car was found close to where it was stolen so I guess they stole it, had a joy ride, came back to the train station and caught a train to wherever they came from haha. To be honest they were probably disappointed that it looks faster than it is haha (NA auto).

As a plus, when the mechanical assessment was completed the mechanic doing it gave me a ring and was actually pretty impressed with the car's condition specifically its compression testing results. I suppose I already knew how good the condition of it was just by how nice it drives but its still nice to know and good to know no damage was done as a result of the joy ride.

Any suggestions for what security systems work best haha?

mate leave it in the garage and only use it on weekends, get a 4 cyc cheap runaround for all the other jouneys, train carparks etc. no one will touch it

    Definitely do one of those.
You might also consider a visible deterrent to make your car less attractive than the one next to it. (Yes, I know that is a big ask :) )
