Hey guys, couple of quick questions. Been a couple of threads before but most have turned into threadbashing. I need 6-7mm pulled on my rear guards. I know the zeds have an unusual double lining thingo that makes pulling guards slightly risky. Yet i have seen it done.

1st one, who has had theirs done in Perth, and where did you go? Guess its prob better to get someone who has done a 300 or two before.

2nd, those of you who know, what's the most you can pull without too much risk of buckling of the guard? Been told the newspaper method is good, any other good ways?

I have fitted adjustable camber but i don't want to run huge camber.

    Thanks for your time.

I'm also interested in getting my guards rolled and pulled, keen to find out if there are any recomendations for Perth...

G'day. Yes I have had some extensive work done to my guards to both fix the useless job I had done, also to accommodate much wider wheels.

What originally happened : I had my guards rolled, and asked if I could have a 2mm pull on the guards to clear my tyres, because I was getting some rub with my coilovers. The guard rolling went fine, saw it when they were rolled, but there was still very little clearance, so I left and let him pull them.
Came back to an absolute abomination, and there are plenty of members here that can agree how horrific the job was. The rear quarter's flex and buckle in after being pulled 4mm each side; according to the guy that did it. Little hard to believe, considering one side was pulled out an inch or more... But either way, I wouldn't risk pulling the guards without being prepared to fill the dents in.

The work that was done to mine was much the same as member Kiff's. The guards were cut in multiple places, pulled to a shape, welded, and shaped. Pretty extensive work, and you're looking at near 3k in labour and paint.
Wayne Phipps Midland did mine. Midway panel beater has a good panel beater, pretty sure his name is Chris - very talented guy, but quite busy.

Hope this helps! Again, I would vote against PULLING guards, but am all for rolling guards.
