Well! That's was one damn long cruise! It probably ended up being a much longer day than I was expecting. But I've learnt for next time to 50/50 out the day... So 50% twisties and 50% social time. This one ended up feeling like a rush to be able to get to each destination.

So next time ill make it the same as 2013 when it was more local around the ranges.

Thank you all for coming! I still enjoyed my day, but I'm definitely hitting the hey early tonight!

    Cheers

    Spewin I couldnt make it...

Would have been a great day. Did you have all sealed roads??

Had a great time, roof off all day and a bit sunburnt but all good!

While I enjoyed Mt. Buller (never been before), the twisties up to the top left a bit to be desired with quite slow limits. Bring on 2015, make sure you book in chum creek road ;)

    Thanks Cam for organising!

Props to cam for organising the day. Loved it. Tough break for Dave though, overtook at the wrong place, wrong time, who would have thought the white commo wagon coming the other way was a undercover copper.

Nice photos Martin, I'm off to download them off facebook.

We did, except for a really small roadworks section as seen in one of Martin's photos.
Just a $280 fine, no demerits. Pretty lucky I guess ;)

Rea and I had a great day. Was very long, I think putting my roof on half-way in helped me avoid the worst of the sunburn...but I wish I didn't have to :p
Buller was a great location for a drive with some really great twisties. Wasn't too steep either, so the downhill run was just as fun :D

Thanks for organizing Cam, I think it went very well. We also had some great comeradery going, always waiting up for lost members :)

I've got a few pics I'll upload soon, most of the shots we took were from the passenger seat with Robbo's camera. Hopefully there are some good ones on there.

It was a broken line, can just see it in the gopro footage, had I been closer might have been able to dispute the fine

Will upload the photos later :)

Awesome day, I enjoyed every bit of it (well except for the part when we were going downhill and my foot went all the way down on the brake pedal) :D. Thanks for organising it Cam and and everyone else for taking photos and being part of the Z family :br:

Pretty sweet pics marsbar. What hardware you using?

Looks like a good day lads. Too bad there was a little unwanted attention.

Glad to see evade out on the road again.

all traffic infringements issued directly from a police officer in Victoria are that piece of paper, standard A4 layout that the police fill in boxes with my details and details of alleged offence

um... future reference, my names not Dave lol, it's Andrew or Bullus :p

but yeah, $289 fine and 2 demerit points for "unsafe overtaking" cause cop wasn't fast enough to get gun on me when i was actually over the limit (speed up to overtake) he alleges he had to brake hard cause of my overtake, which i will maybe dispute, my overtake was safe while i will concede i did break road rule with my speed for less than 3 secs (my speedo peaked at just below 140 so that would be about 120ish) where i overtook i was not against solid white line, if i remember correctly solid to oncoming traffic and broken for me, and where the unmarked cop was when i was overtaking a distance infront of him he was against double unbroken, i was back in my lane of traffic after overtake while still broken line for me, hell i was stopped pulled over after he did his lights on me still against broken line for me.... really the most unsafe part of the incident would have been his braking and u-turn to get back to me

if i could grab that footage that would be awesome dude, just being able to prove the state of broke or unbroken lines at the time/place would be handy if i decide to dispute it, was ya camera actually pointing at the incident, or would ya have only caught it as ya went past?

Yep ill crop it out, can only just see you pull out and then in front, it might be inconclusive.
It was pointing straight up the road. if you were in front of me it WOULD have caught it all
It almost defiantly proves it was a broken line however

IT has been a while, the dust on it was heart breaking when I took the covers off. The fuel pump relay is sticking, and it had a little grief getting going (probably just from being stationary for so long. Made a pack to use it more..... So I drove in to work today.
Great to put some faces to the names. Next time I hope fully will not have to work, and can come for the cruise.
