A problem with power to the aircon/wiper pod on the left hand side of the dash. Started as an intermitant no power to the pod, after driving for a while power came on to the air and wipers, got another pod from Brisbane, but the issue remained, wd40'd the connectors and all the fuses in the drvers side footwell, was working ok, but now I've got nothing, does anybody know where the power comes from, or any ideas:)

As a guess here, if all your connections and fuses are good. I could imagine it may have something to do with a main resistor on the circuit board. If was intermittent at first and now nothing, it would surely be the issue.

Its the same issue with the OEM clocks. its a couple of resistors that fail to supply power to the unit. It always starts to slowly fail until it gives up the ghost.

Borrow or buy a cheap one so see if this helps...it'll be the quickest/easiest solution.

A little more definition of exact issue please.

Is the AC manual or Climate controlled?

Does the blower fan work on all speeds.

Does the AC not work or does the display go blank and the AC stops working?

All speeds on the wiper do not work or some?

    Does the washer work?

What are all the symptoms? Also check all lighting, dimmer and instrument lights to see if any are also not working.

All these can help track down possible causes. there is not enough investigative detail to make a prognosis.

    Don't tell anybody....

There is a 'map' of where the power comes from in the Nissan Factory Service Manual.

Check the relays behind the drivers side footwell fuse box, had the same problem, ended up swapping the entire fuse box for my old working one, and it sprang back to life

my z had a similar problem when i got it when i turn the ignition to acc the radio and ac pod lit up but when i turn the ignition to on the radio and ac pod turned off
turned out to be the crimps holding the connector on the ignition switch was loose
when i tried to pull the plug out it pulled the guts of the ignition out luckily i was able to put it all back together

I have a similar problem, when I switch my headlights on it switches off my cigarette lighter. LOL I haven't gotten around to look at it yet!

A lot of these issues can be caused from previous dodgy alarm / immobilizer / stereo installs.
