What are you removing, and from what car (2+0 or 2+2).

no 6*9 will not fit anywhere in the car without cutting.

fronts are 6" you can make 6.5" fit
rears are 4*6 but you can make 5*7 fit with little effort.

Best bet is to stick to circular speakers in our cars. I mounted my 6" rear speakers in the sides of the back seat, just above the armrest and below the window. This made a HUGE difference in sound because it points at your head, but theres not a huge deal of room for big magnets. This requires cutting but is totally worth it.

Ill grab some for you after work. Like i said tho, speaker choice is limited by magnet size. I only have el-cheapos in there so there is room to upgrade, but im working on a super to secret audio setup atm and the speakers are going to move again lol

    Agreed with the 6"-6.5" statement.

Personally, I'd say don't worry about the rear speaker set-up too much. These are purely for a bit of fill noise.

Focus on a good set of splits for the front and a decent amp. Sub also if u can.

6x9 can fit in the front door if you use a mounting template, I have some spare In the garage.

The rears are traditionally a 4x6 but you can get the factory rear boxes and fit a 6.5 comfortably or even a 5x7 but I don't know why given the limited range in that size.

Just word of caution though, putting 6x9 up front unless tuned by an amplifier properly will drown out any speaker further back except a sub woofer

6x9 do not fit in the doors. They may fit to the door cards, which is the worst way to mount speakers.

    Can you provide a picture?
As I find it hard to believe they are in without a aftermarket template or modification to the original or as said mounted to the door card

I have 6x9s on the door cars. Trimming definitely required. The hole is not even close to the same shape as an oval, its shaped like a butternut pumpkin, for lack of a better description :p

stretch had 6*9 in his doors.. i can find a photo of it if you guys like i have it uploaded somewhere on photo bucket.

he used wood to trace out the mounting holes on the stock metal plate and then cut out a 6*9 hole.

to be honest i dont like 6*9 in the front doors..

there are good 6*9's on the market but you will get better sound out of splits.

go splits in the fronts. trust me.

The previous owner of my zed cut into the door cards and mounted 6x9's on the cardboard. It was an abortion of a job. Run some quality splits in the front and you won't be disappointed.
