Not gonna write too much.... went to the trouble of uploading photos instead.

Stumbled across Jason/ZX2NV's old car on gumtree. After member Jamie went over to take a better look at it, and sealed with a later price I simply couldn't refuse.... here's where it stands now

Don't know if the k's are genuine. Car was last registered in 2007. Compression test on arrival indicated a not so healthy cylinder #6. Idea was to revert it back to a relatively stock car, then decide what to do with it. After all, the velour interior (apart from being dusty and somewhat disassembled) would have to be one of the best ive seen and the exterior still presents very well. So, all the becauseracecar shit was removed and oem equivalents fitted instead. Some of the aftermarket parts remain-
    Megan Racing Dump Pipes
    new SS 200CPSI cats
    3" Zees catback
    Adjustable FUCAS
    Adjustable front castor rods
    Adjustable RUCAS
    KYB AGX shocks all round
    King Springs
    FMIC
CD player.... even stumbled across a stacker at martin's that worked

Still a few little things to fit up- find the missing wheel centre cap, guard liners, undertrays, ecu bracket... but its getting there.

Huge thanks to Jamie for going out of his way and taking a look at this car for me, and another shout out to Martin Marschall/ mmarschall for the ute load of parts required. Really, WHO removes targa straps or shade hooks?!?:confused:

    Looks neat.
What's the plan for it, Michael? Restore her to former glory and try and make a buck, or keep?

Little bit sceptical about the initial compression test results. Car only had test pipes and was running the apexi power fc, so the way it ran was certainly indicative of something bad. Since fitting the exhaust, changing the harness/ecu back to stock and sorting the abundance of vacuum leaks out, it starts, idles and runs like clockwork. Boosts well and doesn't blow any smoke whatsoever.

Slight tapping noise under throttle, but suspect VCT rattle (the oil that came out when I removed the remote oil filter and cooler setup was like water).
    Plan is:-
    1. Get the last remaining bits from Martin to make it a fully complete car, down to changing the steering surround for 1 without any holes drilled in it.
    2. Oil and fluid change
    3. Compression test
    4. Sell. Naturally price will reflect compression results. Relatively confident that a 1995TT 2+2 Manual will be worth something, even with basic rebuild required.

I did a few track days with Jason not long before he went MIA, and I seem to recall him saying it had low compression and he was pulling the engine, not sure if he ever did though. His old posts might have more info. That was a really nice well looked after car last I saw it, good to see the ricer adjustable rear wing is gone.

Incorrect, that is a factory cluster for the '95 twin turbo.

tool set, foam inserts, targa bags, hatch latch surround, hatch cargo shade hooks, spacesaver spare, spare retaining bolt, carpet, timber inserts, stacker, ecu, ecu bracket, AC/heater lower bracket, heater fan resistor block, glovebox gas strut, glovebox rear cloth fan cover, glovebox light assembly, console carpet, ashtray, stereo surround, engine bay harness, wheels, catalytic converters, catback exhaust, front brake pads, guard liners, guard liner mounting brackets, accordian-AFM hardpipes, thermo fan, oil cooler and bracket, AFM T-piece, Apexi filter, Radiator, Radiator hoses, Fan shroud, clutch fan assembly, Fog lights, Lamps for indicators and headlights, undertrays, Recirc valves and hoses, Fuel hardlines, balance pipe o-rings, Fuel filter, Hi pressure fuel hoses, balance pipe, battery box, battery clamp, battery and have virtually exhausted my spare screws, clips, nuts and bolts collection.

First compression test of 90psi on cylinder #6 supports the general information I've received from a few forum members.... and the pneumatic adjustable wing was long gone prior to me acquiring the car.

Initial plans were to repair motor, sell off my '90 2+2TT runabout and keep this one. With interest fading, it looks as though I'll be selling the pair.

So 95 TT's don't have factory boost gauge???

Nope, no factory boost gauge. Makes it more fun to check results from adjusting the turbosmart bleedport valve...... hence the Veilside gauge floating in the interior for the moment

Front bar is a Wings Worst

... has to be seen in person to fully despise it

  17. Anti

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

    it's a modified TBO front isn't it?

the skirts look like stillen to me but it'd make sense if they were TBO, to go with the TBO rear valance. which are they?

  18. OZX_320

    OZX_320 Detachable Member

    skirts are TBO

  19. Anti

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

that's probably the only fully TBO kitted Z32 in australia then
