This is directed to those who purchased a pair from the group buy or to anyone who have installed a pair in the past. Any noticeable changes? Would you recommend them or are they just a waste of time & money based on your own personal opinion?

    All ears here...

What are you hoping to achieve by fitting them?

For what it's worth I had fender braces installed on a Z I bought, they were only bolted on to the door hinges and not the whole body and even with completely stock suspension all round showed light signs of rubbing where they were supposed to bolt to the body.

    Hi Arvin,
Unless you are intending to do some very serious Track time, these braces are a complete case of "overkill", IMHO.
I can't think of a single scenario in which you would achieve any noticeable improvement in general handling or road-holding on anything less than a full-on Race Car.:zlove:

not a waste of money ..
will stiffen up the front end a little .

but in saying that ,won't notice it on a daily street car ..especially when you take your mum shopping.

i noticed them and my car it is far from stock suspension you could say i have the lot.... car gets up on 3 wheels now on any ramp or slight incline that I need to take sideways its that stiff at the front. I noticed sharper turn in and more stability and better feel in corners. Excellent mod IMHO on the road as well.

I can definitely see that having one less contact patch with the road surface would be an improvement in road-holding and grip(it would also provide a financial gain, as the tyres would last longer).:br:

    It's actually a good thing Chili .
Means you have a stiffer chassis .
Makes suspension do the work and not the twisting body

My slick top did this without any braces to start with..

I take your point matey(just don't ever drive a Morgan 4/4 Sports or you could suffer a stroke).
I could jack any corner of my Morgan 2ft in the air and all three remaining wheels would stay firmly on the ground(the doors and bonnet halves would fly open, though)but it handled like a dream(especially on Hill Climb tracks).

Im really keen to do this mod and was really wanting to go SPL because they have some amazing stuff, I dont think its titanium like the rest of their gear though... but seeing as Black Beast supposedly scored the last one ever made ill be hard pressed to find one lol

Im looking to find every mod to get my chassis as rigid as possible (being a targa top and all) but i hear it increases understeer which is something i dont exactly want lol. SPL says upgarde the sway to even it out which ive already done so the combo should make for some pretty sweet handling right??

Alloy not titanium and yes they did an "amazing" job copying the Japanese part... Google Nagissa fender brace you might be able to find somebody retailing them

Hey, yeah I have the tension rod support brace from UAS. Be aware that they won't fit properly with a standard radiator.... Maybe see if they have any of the ultra racing ones in stock as these should fit ok.

Ps thanks for the compliment :)

UAS v2 Tension rod support should fit with all radiators.

Steve are you being facetious? I'm not aware of a version 2 actually being available for sale?

No sorry I thought they were available.

I remember because the week after I modded my radiator, UAS announced the 'curved' v2 one. I actually thought it was a goer?

I intend to weld mine in....

I cant see brace holding its position or working to its full capacity being bolted only to the door hinges and a single plate of steel.
We know they rub against the body, which = lost potential and they don't really have alot of leverage above the wheel arch. They really are quite short.

Im keen to know if anybody is running a set of these along side scissor doors tho, i figured they'd get in the way of the doors strut..
