ah, hence why I called it a camber kit?? :p

here is my.. wheel angle make slanty kit..

  2. Anti

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

There is no kit. They're camber arms.

    Thanks Anti:)

I'm liking the new stance on the rear of yours, going for the larger spacers and -3 seems ideal.

    I'm thinking about it again.

i'm still about 2 grand away from having this on the road.
I need a car that is reliable NOW, not in 3 months,
plus i'm going to be at uni for a while longer yet especially if i end up doing research after masters...

if someone wants to offer me 7grand for this build.
all you need is to get a rwc and get the rego

I've just spent 5k on the tt swap - DONE
have new rims and tyres lines up
still have thousands of dollards of new parts
    - trim
    - intercooler
    - piping
    - ttop hook
    - good quality glass
    - good guards
    - rear camber arms
    - intercooler piping
    - rear infil
    - various badges
    - etc etc

if you've been following the thread, i've spent to date approx 18,000$ to get it to this state, just needs that last bit of tlc to finish it off.

If i'm offered 7K Solid for everything I'll let it all go so I can buy something I can drive next week. not next year.

Its all there if someone just wants to finish it off and install whats been bought already.
and take that cf trim off parts of the interior...

    pm if interested

    useless comments will be useless...

Looks like i'm keeping my Z

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/160943381285

    2300 Views,
    over 43 people watching

and I only got 50$ over the starting bid, which is about half of what i've spent on it in the previous 2 months alone.

no wonder people waste so much money on these things.
a car like mine gets passed up, and the people watching probably go out and spend 5000$ on a crap one with rego and just passes a rwc.
a few months down the track the tt blows and they sell it because they don't want to spent 5k on a replacement or rebuild.

I see it happen time and time again.

on the plus side, I was looking into cars that would have needed replacement engines for the cost of what i was hoping to get for it.
so I'm better of staying with this since its mostly all rebuilt anyway.

when Noel puts the exhaust on next week, it will be off to the mechanic and in for RWC.

    Mikezah build thread incoming!

did you hate cars before you bought a zed? I know I sure expected to shell out money after buying a zed, hell - ive even got a savings account called when z breaks. lol shame to hear that your regretting stuff

    nah, i hate my addiction.

I can't stop thinking about them.
I wanted to sell the zed, just keep the humble laser.

but 5 minutes after just wanting the simple life, I had 10 things on my watch list to mod the laser, new parts, rims, hid lights, suspension etc. I can't stop it.

I was looking at a VT, only took me half an hour to have rims picked out, a new interior sourced, a place that would do a V6 swap, and a guy that could colour match the bonnet.

it keeps me awake at night.

why can't i just be normal, concentrate on uni, get good grades, earn money and buy nice things, a house, anything normal. but no, i need to budget for how much it would cost to get my car of choice how i want it to be before i even think about rent.

I owe 1200$ on bills because I've spent it on the Zed. its a sickness o0

As one of those fools who spent 5 on a barely rwc registered for 6 months z's that shat itself literally 30 minutes later I concur. Sell the laser for3k extinguish the debt and put the leftovers into women of ill repute... Or spend it on the last bits to get your car to the point you want it.

Done too much to give up now.[TIS]

    1. Sell the laser
    2. Fix the z
    3. .??????
    4. Get women

    need a like button..

i needs the laser though, i clocked up 1000k's in the past week alone, can't do that in the Z.

sorry to hear about your Z woe's. but I think i just impressed the guys at Autobarn enough to give me a weekend Job, so with that and my drafting Job things are looking brighter for the future of the Z.

and now one of the guys who was interested in buying it was a Beater, he's keen to clean up the body for me unless I think its time for the full respray.

    Update!

after almost 3 Long Months apart, I'm finally picking up my Z on thursday with the help of some more Forum Buddies.

the TT swap is done, but looks like the Injectors are non functional, so Off will come the plenum again and some open heart surgery will have to be done.

Operation Z Evac will be commencing at 17:30 hours this Thursday.

The Evac party will rendevous in Geelong at Approx 16:40 hours at a yet to be disclosed location, we will then proceed to LZ Delta where the Z will be packed and ready for extraction on our arrival.
once the load is secure the team will proceed down the most direct route towards Z base in Geelong to assess the work required to continue with Operation Z Recovery.

Meeting with Soldier Lidz was succesfully achieved today which resulted in the aquasition of front tension rods.

currently in negotiations with non hostiles to arrange aquisition of suitable Wheels to replace hitmanz stocks.

Check back later for further briefing...

    Update!!

round 2 of Glossing the Plenum.

so the first time I spent 2 days painting the plenum, it didnt really last very long. so since its off again, time for round 2. this time i've done all the balance tubing, fuel lines, other bits and pieces as well as the turbo piping in a matt black VHT paint. with the throttle bodies already bolted on I could fix up the paint that inevitable was going to get chipped when they got bolted up.

    Injectors are back in,
forgot how it all goes back together so need to wait for a mate to show me what goes where when i bolt it all back up.

    and the adventure continues....

    alright Forum,

I probably don't like you as much as you probably don't like me, but we started this thing together so we are going to stick it through to the end.

after many failed attempts to get some help to put the plenum back together, I spent some of last night and most of the morning so far installing the plenum, bolting it down, running the connectors, rerouting the wiring harness and cleaning up as much of the engine bay as possible. ie, removing the alarm siren, moving around the harness and hiding as much of it as i could, re wired the ptu so now it sits in the battery location and runs along the existing harness going back towards teh firewall...

if anyone wants to tell me now if there was a reason for the ptu to be where it was then an hour ago would have been a good time to tell me these things -_-

everything has gone back together quite nice so far, its a bit sad that at the moment the plenum has better paint on it than any other inch of the car itself, but thats the way the cookie crumbles.

enough jibber jabber, time for some pics,,,
