    if you were planning on thrashing the crap out of a drift car daily, you will prefer an engine which;

    a: has more parts available - rb25det > vg30dett
    b: easier to change parts due to f**cking them - rb25det > vg30dett
c: strength of engine - I will call this a tie, because each engine has faults, but both are really solid.

So yeah, it does make sense to switch to an RB engine in this scenario.

We're also talking about a car in the states. Rb's are magical unicorns to those blokes. Bare RB30 blocks with cranks go for thousands over there.

If I was going to build a drift car I wouldn't, because they are stupid.

    If I was being stupid I wouldn't use a zed :p

    Not in the USA

    b: easier to change parts due to f**cking them - rb25det > vg30dett

This we can agree on :)

Hmm not really. VG30 shorter crank, forged crank, forged rods from factory...

Really the vg30's biggest flaw is its lack of accessability to work on it. Rb's on the other hand are lucky enough to have oiling issues. I know which one I'd rather have :zlove:

Ignoring the engine debate, going with the thread title about fighter planes :D

Got to admit I'm a fanboy of the whole "fighter plane theme on performance cars" idea :)

We all know about Rod Hadfields 3,000 HP 1955 Chev tricked up like a P51 Mustang from WW2

( never mind cannon exhausts, lets just fit cannons! :p )

Here's a Youtube vid for those who've been living under a rock and haven't heard of the car before -

    Anyway.

I'd love to see a WW2 Mitsubishi ZERO theme on a silver Zed -

I'd love to have a go at this but my silver Zed is too OEM looking to muck with for now.
Maybe in a few years, after I've roughed it up a bit

Actually - I know a Forum member who owns a signwriting business and a silver Zed.
He could print decals to get this look...

While we're on it, some more pics from Forza -

that's really weird. I got a silver zed and just today I was sitting in illy doing some decals for a nose panel idea i have and used some zero / p40 warhawk / a10 warthog ideas. Not sure If I have the nuts to go full car though.

The muira as a macchi veltro ( or folgore ) is a sweetarsed idea.
