    Hi

I noticed that there is differences in some of the rear suspension lower link arm mount points attached to the body (holds the wheel tie rod and stabiliser /sway bar)

What ZX types have a 50mm wide chassis mount point and what ZX types have a 45mm wide chassis mount point?

    Cheers

I am actually thinking the U.S. Version has 50mm chassis mounts points as opposed to the 45mm Chassis mount points

I know that they have some subtle differences between the two such as doors etc

    Cheers

    Further explanation on situation

Does anyone have measurements on the rear lower link arm chassis mounts for the following:

(If you have one of these can you measure the width of the chassis mounts please)

    AUS SPEC

    J - SPEC (should be 45mm wide)

    EURO - SPEC

US - SPEC (should be 50mm wide)

As a suspension distributor, I am trying to see what lower link arms universally fit other models around the world.

All other suspension parts appear to universal except for the difference in toe arms on non turbo models.

    Thanks

Are you talking about the mounts on the subframe? Having a little trouble picturing what you want.

    Yes!
Exactly those! - there are two chassis mount points on the subframe for each lower link arm

    Cheers

To show further the part that I am requesting info for

A partial picture of the rear lower link arm (holds the wheel and swaybar mounts) that connects to the subframe chassis mount points.

You can see the slight difference between US (Red Arm) and JSPEC (Stock Arm) lower link arms in the picture (its a comparison between them)

Hence why i am trying to see which ones are different in sizes. I am happy to take the bush size difference but it will be easier for someone to just measure the chassis mounts.

    Thanks

The red one doesnt look oem to me.

Exactly! The red one is definitely "aftermarket" and should NOT be relied upon for accuracy/fit(as we all know that many aftermarket items fall way short of being quality items).

OMG - the obvious is not what I am after

OMG - - I know the obvious - and I can assure you the red one fits US Spec vehicles

The red one is for U.S. Spec at 50mm and fits U.S. Spec vehicles ;)

The black one is 45mm stock for J-SPEC vehicles ;)

I am actually trying to find out what AUS -SPEC / European width is so that the correct part can be sent according to the car or whether a new jig needs to be made to suit those Euro or AUS spec vehicles if they are different to the JSPEC or US Spec versions.

Hence I need someone to measure the AUS SPEC for me - please
I will get Euro Spec elsewhere if there are no imported EuroSpec versions here in oz.

Sorry that I have not been able to communicate effectively so far - I trust that this further detail now explains what I am trying to figure out

    Sincere Regards

    OK! Gotcha now.
The J-spec arms and the Aus-spec items are all the same, to the best of my knowledge. I'm not sure if TT is different to NA.

Best way to tell is by checking the part numbers. I suspect ALL models (except may TT vs NA differences) are the same. There are washers that are used to mount those as well. Could account for the difference

I've got my aus spec subframe sitting in the yard, I'll go check it sometime when it's not dark outside..

Much more helpfull now everyone has an idea of what I am after
    Cheers all

    Note - lurker:
The difference between US and JSPEC subfame mounts is not only a width difference but an offset difference of the mounts themselves as well. It is possible that washers could be used but the washers would then have to be offset sizes which is unlikely in practice. I have no listing of washers on the companies suspension arms in the U.S. as the bushes fit per se. I will confirm this with the U.S. manufacturer though.

Can I ask where one finds the information on part numbers for different SPEC Models?

Good news with AUS SPEC being the same as JSPEC - as all AUS SPECs are non turbo it would be handy to have someone measure the Auspec bushes for confirmation on bush size for non turbo to see if there is a difference between TT and Non Turbo.

    So far I have

U.S. NA bush size 50mm (offset 4/6mm to jspec)

    JSPEC TT Bush size 45mm

    AUSSPEC and JSPEC NA ?

    EUROPEAN?
