Absolute shock to hear this when Luke gave me a call yesterday as I was only thinking of him mere days ago. The scene really has been missing that extra bit of special that John bought to all gatherings, since he was plagued with his illness.

I'm sure you're in a better place now, John, but we will all miss you dearly.

Sincerest condolences to the family and all close friends.

I'll see you all on friday, riding shotgun with Spikie.

Thanks Warren300 for putting up that thread link, and only 12 months ago.
Shows the sort of man John was and his attention to detail.

    That's sad to hear.

I liked John, the 2 idiots threads were the best things to happen on this forum for a very long time.

Yeah that was a GREAT thread. The man knew art thats for sure. He was Chairman of the Victoria Park art committee and it seems as though everything he came in contact with just ended up "better".

My life was a mess before I met John. He became like a father to me, I love him like a Dad, i miss him so much :(

I am very saddened to hear of John's passing :(

I count myself lucky to have had some interaction with such a genuinely great guy, even if it was only through this forum.

All the best to his family, I look forward to seeing his son's enjoying his beasts!
    (I assume thats the plan?)

    Moo Shocking...

Really unfortunate that he's gone, Liz and I were both shocked to hear what's happened. Our thoughts go out to his family. I'll be attending this Friday to pay my respects. Mrs. Moo can't get the time off work unfortunately. :(

    RIP Gargoyle

For those who will be attending on friday, we will be meeting up at Powis st carpark at 11:45am to leave at 12:15pm to head to Simplicity Funerals, where they are aware of us coming and should have plenty of parking out back for us all. There will also be a mini cruise straight after where we can all get together, take a moment and to share some of our many memories of John.

I know that he will be looking down on us as we send him off in style and plenty of zed love.

I never met the man in person and it seems that is my loss, I do know he was a great asset to our community and know that he will be sorely missed. Unfortunately due to work I can not make it as much as I would like too, so my condolences go to those who knew him and to his family.

Thanks Spikie I know you'll do a great job as always.

    Funeral Attire has been confirmed.

There will be a fundraiser on the day, It was going to be for the Cancer council but, after discussions I know for a fact that the events have put financial strain on John's family. We have decided that the money raised will go to Johns immediate family for funeral cost's etc.

This way we all have the option donate to the cancer council ourselves, or you can donate to John's family on the day, Or both!

It's completely up to the individual.

If there are people not attending the funeral that do wish to donate to John's family, I will look into organising a way for you to go forward that wish. At this point I'm just going off expressions of interest.

    Thanks Zedders.

i will pick up the cancer council fund raising at the cruise on 5/8, so anyone who wishes to can donate then.

More importantly, i will chip in a few dollars on friday to help johns closest out......time to pull together here zedders....

I have organised the stickers through Felix who has offered to cover the cost of material for his part, also he will be doing this on top of working 6 days a week finishing at 9pm each night. Thanks mate great work we all apreciate your effort. The stickers will be done on a donation where the money will being going to Johns family to assist.
