This one takes the cake, Some guy emails about the car, I tell him I always keep it garaged because I am "a bit of a princess about it" he asks for some pics so I link him to the car sales site, figured he might of missed it... this is the response I get, NO JOKE *I mean some pics of you Princess!! all of the above!!! Lol Never take a car for trade in. I had a shitty old Telstar, drove well, It had 3000 on it as the book suggested, took it to a dealer he was going to offer me $600, of course I declined, because i knew sure as hell i would drive past the sale yards in another weeks time and see 3grand sitting on the windscreen. Its how they make their money. like how they reduce the car you want to buy which is overpriced by a grand, by a grand and then offer you half market value for your car which probably wasnt in that bad condition and they will put double the price on it as soon as you leave... they only make money because most people don't understand the used car market or want to wait another few months and have every knob in the town want to take their car for a spin, kick the tyres and then leave without even a good bye kiss!!! on another note... how many people laugh at the car yards who put 10k on a stock NA Z and rave on about how its a rare piece of performance machinery... or how you see (not to be racist but this has happened more than once) a twin turbo Z selling for 5k, next thing you know its sold and up for sale a week later with a bunch of photos of Indians hanging off the hood, because the thing needed an engine rebuild and they didnt have the 5k on top to do it or bother to check the compression before they bought it... (not being racist, I have indian friends and I know how little they know about mechanics) on that note....(again) I was talking to a friend from Dubai, he said that you can't drive these cars for more than a few K's over there before they over heat. he also said that most of the mechanics when they install the engines they don't put the engine mounts in properly, and a month later the engine falls out of the thing. remind me never to take my car to a pakistani or Arab mechanic (once again not being racist, i was told this by a pakistani living in Dubai and I have a thing for an Arab Girl who looks really cute in her head scarf..!) sorry for the long reply,, I'm bored!!!
i am also looking at selling my z soon, very similar looking to this except its a slicktop and doesnt have a brazillian hatch, also NA. if im going to get offers of 2-3k then i might not even bother...i would also take photos without the p plates on the car, personal opinion but i think twice when looking at a car with p plates on it. not saying every young fella flogs there car but still...

I put my NA slicktop up for sale on gumtree just to see if there was any interest, put photos of it at the drags etc. Within 20 minutes i had several people call me and one guy wanting to show up within half an hour with cash waiting, i had it up for 7.5k......so i removed it from gumtree and im gunna keep it till i'm off my P's
Reviving this old thread, a bit of interest in the Zed, no decent offers, so I am getting pretty bummed out, took it to we buy any car, and wait for it 1500 for my zed. They can tongue a bag for all I care, ill hold onto it till I find someone who is truly interested. who has had luck selling there zeds? any pro tips?
If i were to ever sell my zed...i wouldnt post it up on the forum!!! Everybody has to put their own 2 cents into it and will only get priced down!!! Abraham
With the current economy climate overall... you are lucky to sell anything unless it's on ebay for 0.50C. Not a good time to sell. Money is simply not circulating for nice to have items.
It took me 14 months to sell my Zed, and for 5k less than what I thought it was worth but in the end it went to someone who appreciates, enjoys and looks after it and it's not sitting in my garage rotting away.
