    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

sober up before going on the forums man

hardtops only come two seater, all 2+2's are targa tops

    a slicktop isn't hard to find but a series 3+ ('94+?) is.

tassuperkart Its a lie I tell you!

This subject comes around quite regularly along witht the relater TT ecu on an NA.
The pure bollocks we are asked to swallow with regards to the dramatic loss in power and fuel economy by removing turbos is just that...bollocks.
The ONLY difference between the tt and the na engine is a compression ratio change. Some slight differences in ecu mapping to account for the increased aiflow when turboed but as an na, you wont ever actually visit those higher fuel/lowr ignition timing maps. So the engine will only run on NA maps so why would there be some insane increase in fuel consumption??????
Actually, Id be guessing there would be a slightly more agressive ignition mapping off boost to exploit the lower CR. The differences would be at best incremental and academic at worst.
It is assumed that there is some incredible magic bullet hidden away in a higher compression ratio but in reality, the differences are not that dramatic.

Dont forget that the turbos present an fairly effective "potato in the tailpipe" and likewise in the inlet, off boost and spooled down and the freeing up of the gasflow at both ends of the engine a will yeild significant results.

    Pure and simple.

HOWEVER, and ists a big however, as mentioned early on, its a very big job to deturbo the engine messing around with NA piping and so-on. Exhaust connection blah.

If your happy with an engine pull to de-turbo then Id say go right ahead. I think the rego issues are the least of the dramas.

Having had a jspec with the door mounted belts and an aus spec with pillar mounted there really is sfa all difference, except if you wanna open the door when your strapped in of cours..

They actually said somewhere they had better safety ratings with them in the door, just going on what it said on the site, I cant find it again though now forgot where I read it.

Safer with pillar mounted belts. Ever seen a rolled Z? I'd sure prefer pillar mounted seatbelts.

Pretty sure it all depends on the situation, in a normal smash under normal conditions this was, sure if the doors are torn off that is a another situation all together but I'm pretty sure that would be the least of your worry's if your going that fast and hit something in a way to tear a door off lol

Dunno about you but I'd much rather be anchored to something that isn't designed to move (like a door is designed to do) if I'm unlucky enough to get into an accident. At the end of the day a door can get bent independently to the body or even ripped off due to an accident or from being side-swiped by another car. But if you manage to rip the B pillar off in some kind of horrendous accident then your chances of survival are probably slim to nil anyway.

Besides, there has to be a reason nissan moved from door mounted to pillar mounted seatbelts in the late model Zeds. Anyways, I quoted directly from the article that stated that the b pillar seatbelts are safer, end of story.

Where? I don't see you quoting from any actual articles, just pulling something out of your head that 'you read somewhere' but forgot where you read it. I'd hardly call that a direct quote. Find me somewhere that actually says the door mounted belts are safer, then get back to me.

...Then ask mr nissan why he decided to spend more money to make his cars less safe by moving the belts to the pillars, after he spent all that money fitting airbags to later models trying to make them safer. :p

LOL, that's rich. Good comeback after realising you have no ground to stand on in this argument and simply aren't man enough to just admit that you may have actually been wrong for once in your life... and you're the one calling me a kid??

Now that you've hurt my feelings with your mean ol' words I'm going to be crying myself to sleep for weeks on end.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Wow you must be desperate, thread didn't even get updated and ya still checking back here are you? I'll let you in on a little secret, aA quote is still a quote, not being able to find the article has nothing to do with it not being a quote from the original source, maybe you should learn the difference, so that's why I couldn't be bothered "Schooling" you and just thought I'd let you go but I guess you couldn't help yourself eh? anyway's if you doubt it you can go searching the net, I've got better things to do with my time than digging up something I read years ago, was just mentioning I saw it, that is all, you started this pissing contest for some unknown reason and for another unknown reason continue it, wont be checking the thread anymore cause unlike you which seems to be checking it (no life?) even when its not updated or bumped, I got better things to do.
