    Hidds THAT annoying guy....

    this shit still going on?

maby we should leave it to the prospective people to sort out... i understand there has been issues with UAS in the past, but as i see it, its only a small number, and they couldn't possibly have the reputation they do with so many senior members if they were shit house...

we all make mistakes, if this wasn't dragged out on the forums before UAS was contacted im sure it would have been sorted out fast/clean... and we wouldn't have a bandwagon of people saying UAS is shit house due to a couple of stuff ups

im honestly surprised its been going on for this long....

this is one of the many reasons i hardly come on here these days... all this bullshit bickering

    There should be a guideline

that goes something along the lines of not bashing a workshop, (whatever the workshop) until communication to resolve the issue has at least been tried.

It would prevent a lot of needless anger, hatred and bitterness. Why this thread was allowed to continue is beyond me.

I would have thought that homophobic, sexual insulting personal attacks would also be against the guidelines but apparently thats ok also?

Oh well, hopefully it has died a natural death anyway.

So if I buy a TV from a store then a week or 2 later another store has a clearance sale and I could have got for cheaper then I can still demand the price difference?

I thought those deals was for before you buy. Not after. Stores dont usually give refunds because you change your mind because of a better deal elsewhere.

Also I want to take my samsung back. I thought I was buying a good quality Korean brand. But the factory it was made in was in Malaysia!!! But I still paid top dollar for it!!!:mad::mad:

there are timelimits and terms but I have seen it advertised as what reads as an after purchase promo, my guess is thew purchase wouldhave to have been cash. I realise its not all the time and at all stores but I have definately seen this sort of promr

Had UAS have advertised the brand of the front bar as carmate, and OP actually wanted a carmate branded bumper, I'm sure he would have gone to carmate for the same product, cheaper price.

    What's to sort out?

If you wanted Carmate's crap articles then you'd deal with them directly. If you were avoiding their products by trying to go to a "reputable" aftermarket company who advertises their own brand and then received Carmate's sh!t at a blown out cost then you have every right to be p!ssed, and every thanks for letting others know how they work.

I'm amazed how the same handful of people on here get away with continuously bashing a business on this forum .

It happens everytime UAS is mentioned and drags on for 10 pages .. ???

As far as buying a front bar ..
You are buying a style of bar eg Greddy ,Bomex ,etc and there are plenty of copies .. Asking questions as I do ...from where its made/comes from can eliminate any problems before purchasing as far as quality.

damaged goods is a different story .. and should be taken up with place of purchase.

Well the bodykit parts I received from CZP arrived in perfect nick in exactly 7 days. Seems to me you get what you pay for both in terms of product and packaging quality.

Do you also buy a style of TV, a style of boost controller, a style of camber arms?
Same style does not = same quality and same price.

I'm not bashing UAS here, just making a point.

If I wanted a cheaply made, thin fibreglass kit, I'd buy from carmate. If I wanted a quality product that UAS effectivly put their name on and backed by not disclosing the brand, I'd go to UAS and be happy to pay more.

Fact of the matter is, I'd be pissed if I payed more, expecting the quality item, as backed by UAS and got shit.

UAS should have disclosed the brand in their advert, just like they do with plazmaman intercoolers, koyo radiators, and garret turbos.

I never would have expected JP to on-sell carmate stuff, so I would never think to have to ask before buying 'JP, is this bodykit in fact carmate gear?'

  12. BLACK BEAST

    BLACK BEAST SLICKTOP TT R-SPEC

style of TV ... LED , PLASMA ,TUBE
style of boost controller , ELECTRONIC ,MANUAL
style of camber arms .. stock type adjustable ,midori style ,pivoting

lots of different companies make these
    just making a point :p

    UAS says Bomex "style "

not here to debate , know where you are coming from .. just maybe a few more questions or better communication before purchasing any product may eliminate problems .

(Disclaimer..I'm not financially associated or loyal to any company and take my business/purchases where it suits me :p)

I agree, but all LED tv's are not the same ;) Nor all midori style carmber arms :)

And I agree everyone should ask questions before buying. But in this instance, I would never in the world have expected that JP would be selling carmate gear. (and I'm not at all saying that he can't/shouldn't - just that it should be sold as the brand that it is)

I also have no bias to whom I buy parts from. If I don't want the best bit, I'll buy the cheap stuff, from the cheap place - not the cheap stuff, from the expensive place, for the expensive price :)

Mike you are fine and bring up some good discussions. To answer, a Plazmaman intercooler obviously comes from only one place. We often are an advisory centre for info, but it doesn't pay the bills.

Below is a post from Silver300zx.

?http://www.300zx.com.au/pricelists/F..._fuel_pump.jpg most people do sell this as a walbro fuel pump , they call it a uas fuel pump though . Also a friend of mine got a boot lid off them and it arrived very well packed but with the corner broken off , the corner wasnt in the box so obviously it was like that when they packed it but they said its not there problem .?

In reply to Silver300zx, I recalled which one this would be, it was an Evo 6 carbon boot which we ordered from overseas and came very well packed, which we took the time to unpack totally, two of us here actually. We thoroughly inspected it, it was perfect, we repacked it well, insured it and sent it to Queensland. As it says on our website and I?m pretty sure I even told the buyer on the phone to check it when it arrives in front of the courier to inspect for any damage. This was not done and from memory it was more than a few days later he called to say it was damaged, and yes he mentioned to me that a corner had broken off and was not in the packaging. I told him that we had thoroughly checked it before it left here and it was perfect. Who knows what may have happened to it in transit or after several days or more after it arrived. We have NO claim with the freight company if it is signed for. To add to the frustration, it was supposed to arrive before Superlap which the car had entered in but was delayed in transit, it arrived just after.

As for the fuel pumps, they are to our specification with a fitting kit and hose to suit individual cars.

Advertising for other companies, already covered by Lloyd. For example, when Nissan sell you a crank angle sensor made and labelled by Mitsubishi, they don?t advertise it as such. Concept, Z1 etc all do the same. This can be a grey area though and I agree, incorrect advertising or purporting something to be one thing and then sending something else of cheaper quality for example. I don?t think we?ve done this. Within reason I do look after customers although anyone in retail and dealing with the public would know buyers can be liars or exaggerate. I?m not saying this has happened in this case other than after the fact as per below. At a big stretch maybe Anthony got confused what I said, jumbling up my words is different though.

?So the conversation from today with john went as follows.

No where. He said that i attacked him personally to which i responded "on a forum, i intend to let others know my problems so they dont come across the same situation".I told him that it was packaged poorly to which he responded "it cant be bubble wrapped due to toll needing to view the item" which is absolute bullshit as my work gets items through toll ipec which are bubble wrapped and boxed WITH NO RIPS OR HOLES. He also asked me what i wanted for my problem, i said "the difference in price to carmates pricing" (which is about 200) which didnt go down well with him because i "slandered" his company. He basically said that due to my rant on here that he would not help me out with the problem. Moral of the story, dont expect quality products from UAS

    end of rant.?

About the bubble wrap, I said it could?ve been packaged better, although most bodykit shops pack like this. Also I said covering it more is not always better because if the freight company know what it is by seeing it?s a fibreglass part they will usually top load it. The cracking often happens from weight. Yes it is correct we discussed about personal attack, which I was explaining UAS is me and for that matter it is my family, who have built it up over the last 14 years. Yes it is correct I declined the price difference as this is irrelevant. Although I have done exactly this previously and would do something for Anthony if he handled it different and didn?t come out with slanderous remarks to start with. Put yourself in my shoes and think what would you do? In the past I have been taken for a ride numerous times and have had to toughen up a bit. My wife often comments to me I often give too much away as many of our customers are like friends. BTW I was mainly refferring to others for talking bull.

I shouldn?t need to mention that what you read on forums is often exaggerated or outright fabrication of the truth. For example some here have made false statements about our workshop. For those not knowing and reading these sweeping statements, one might be confused what to think about us. I know this person complains about every workshop he?s been to and cannot be pleased. The exact opposite actually happened. This person needs to get a job and I suspect put his bong down.

Below is from the forum Posting Guidelines and Etiquette

    - No insults to individuals or groups (e.g. police, workshops, etc), keep criticism constructive rather than abusive.

    - Please do not degenerate into flame wars or arguments that are not constructive. If an argument ensues simply ignore it, replying only continues it further.

    - Please do not use the forum (a public place) for arguments or issues which are better left private.

Below is a post from BlackBaz which I reported as a bad post and nothing happened as per usual. This is why the forum ends up in a mess.
?and be rest assured that package was delivered safe and secure much to the joy of the recipient ... it ain't hard and what we have seen here and previously is simply slack, incompetent, bordering on criminal negligence ..!!!!?

Being accused even as a joke of criminal negligence is clearly an insult, erroneous and slanderous. Plus selfish abuse of the forum and why as someone here posted why they stay away.

    Misrepresentation ... ???? ...

It was Black Baz (labelled by yourself in this thread as a piss pot !!) who first noted that the bar would have been packed and shipped out directly from Carmate without UAS having seen or touched or known how it was packed.

my reference of "slack, incompetent and bordering on criminal negligence" was therefore a direct reference to the actions of Carmate ... NOT UAS !!!!!

throw all the abuse you like .. but please get it right .... !!! (P.S, you got the piss pot bit wrong also ... lol)

WHY IS EVERYONE ACTING LIKE CHILDEN!

    Both parties are at fault!

    Romonski for

    1. Not contacting UAS FIRST.

    2. Resorting to slander... and defamation

    UAS for

    1. Not offering any SOLUTION, instead merely defence. < Be professional here, offer condolences (not admitting guilt), offer him solutions.

    2. Item SOLD as UAS but infact being re-sold from a competitor at a premium!

    3. Failing to inform customer the product isnt contructed by UAS despite being advertised as such.

    4. Failure to properly inspect a package received from said competitor before shipping to customer.

so... now the cats out of the bag, romonski STFU and sort it out with UAS like a man...

    we await the results.

So what's the outcome? Is the person going to be compensated for it or not? I could see how it goes both ways though. A good business would recompensate the person, but after this public slander i'd be slightly discouraged to do so.
