i got this HID exnon kit from ebay for my 89' Z32, but the I don't know what size I'm suppose to tell the seller: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390328389091&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT can any1 help me, I think it's suppose 2 be 9005 or 9006?
If you type "bulb type" into the Search box, you will get a month of good (but repetitive) reading. For the low beams you need H3 and it is an easy conversions. For the high beams, you need H1, some fabrication is required, and having hands like a small child is a distinct advantage. Before you order also do a search on color temperature to get some intel to help you choose.
Are you under the illusion that not all Z32's are imported? As already stated by angrybear, you need H3 & H1 for your Low beam and High beam, respectively.
Bulbs that blue would only really be suitable for cruising through a McDonalds car park. You won't be able to see much out on the road. Are they illegal? Well HIDs are technically not allowed on Zeds, so it is a question of whether your HIDs will attract the attention of the Police or not. Two extremely blue lights would be a bit of a dead giveaway that you are running HIDs. 4300K is a crisp stark white which is my preference. Some people prefer 6000K with a tinge of bluishness. They are the two recomended types IMHO.
I have 6000k but next time i will be going the 4300k as they appear to be a better light on Z's i have seen.
