Hi, my TT Auto 89 model is basically stock. I am keen on changing the standard rubber/plastic turbo pipes between the single large intercooler and the TB's along with the piping between the the turbos and intercooler and also the piping from the pod filter to the turbos. Can anyone recommend a performance shop in South Australia anywhere that would be able to customise me some aluminium turbo piping???

You best bet is to grab the yellow pages and start ringing metal work, or exhaust shops. If your Z is basically stock, what is the point?

There are better places to start though.

Yep, better off spending a third of what that would cost on bigger SMIC's and sell the cooler you have. Anything going directly to the turbo's will need a mock up motor, or require removal of yours.

Yes, for looks and a cleaner sounding plumb back blow off... Yeah whatever call me a noob but the BOV sound is awsome no matter what brand or type...

My opinion. I'm not striving for insane amounts of power. Just as I can't afford alot anytime soon I just wanted the stock pressure release to be louder and smoother.. Keeps me motivated for further mods in future! :p

its just piping, why wouldn't it work with your intercooler setup?it doesnt even connect to it.

Depends on how they've piped the twin turbos into a single intercooler (whether the split+join are in the engine bay, or under the nose-panel/headlight area)... Are you sure it's not just a normal twin-FMIC setup? How many pipes lead into/out of it?

I have piping just like the one in the link, and it fits fine (all intercoolers that I have seen don't even touch this section of the piping) My FMIC is as-seen below:

Well found :) I knew there was a cheaper one avaliable on eBay but I couldn't find it (only tried briefly however) A mate of mine (Chilledpain) did hint that the eBay ones aren't that great, though he didn't specify whether this was a fittment, strength, or aesthetic issue... At that price though, it can't hurt to try :)

Yeah I'm confident mine is the same but using plastic and / or rubber pipes.

Ohhhh, you only want those bits. Yeah, just get them off ebay or from Coz in the states.

I had eBay ones but the bends don't seem to be right for my car, had to hacksaw a couple to get them to fit, even then I had leaks. Ended up getting full silicone pipes instead

Yeah that's all I want. Just to make it look that little bit more shiny and attractive and as I said somewhere in this thread or another, to keep myself motivated to modify in future hearing the improved pressure release.

You wont notice any difference with your recirc valve noise on these.
Also running the Ebay kits on 1 of my 300's, unlike Felix however, mine bolted up fine, with no leaks.
Bling factor only, and a LOT easier to fit than the OEM rubber hoses, that are no doubt split at the ends by now.
Just make sure you get a set with the required T-clamps, rather than using conventional worm drive clamps which will chew into your silicone hoses/ couplers.

Ah ok. Well you're on the money anyhow about the cracks. They are starting to crack in the rubber now. Still think that'll be the go. And yeah I guess if I get sick of the stock RV noise I'll ask a close mate of mine (a metal engineer / boilermaker) to weld on some flanges for a pair of BOV's. Haha. :p
