Coolies thanks Sandeep, I doubt I would need to worry about needing any washers though, as I doubt the cops will try and pick on me for that.
Never run HID's but have used 90/130 (off road) globes in my daily's for over 15 years and never pulled up ( been flashed many a time ) for being too bright , As long as your head lights are adjusted correctlly, ( straight, or slightly down at about 50m against a wall ) most police woun't notice unless they know to look for colour or feel that they have been blinded. ross
There aren't any bragging rights. Nobody gives a shit, including the popo. Try getting a 3cm ride height engineered, that'd give you some bragging rights.
The standard driving lights are so bad that for me it wasn't an option. I live in the hills and the amount of kangaroos, fox's, dogs etc that I see on the roads at night is quite high. If I couldn't see properly I would have crashed by now. My HID's have saved me numerous times.
I'm not sure about Victoria, but in WA imported vehicles are excempt from the Australian Design Rules under condition 301 of our vehicle registration (Also excempt from the fitment of a compliance plate)
