I think the number 2 looks best out of the 4 pics. but none of them are my cup of tea overall, as I said once before, If its your dream to do this then keep at it.

    Cheers Eddy

    LOL ! ! ! WHAT A FAIL !

Ironicly the song says at the end 'Leave it alone',
Yeah thats what he should have done to start. Poor ZX now unroadworthy and shit looking due to some idiots failed sense of creativity

    Thanks Eddy

My life is going as planned which is not wasting my time to get "qualifications". Ill leave that to the rat race while I make money with my claimed expert design.

Lastly taking design classes to make cool paper airplanes at daddies expense sounds like a failed life to me.

hey man, im not having a dig at your decisions.

Instead of rip you up ill give you some advice, and based on your response that will determine what kind of person you are.

If your gonna freelance like you say you are then great, but the key with business is that the customer(on average) is always right. Without customers there is no business. Professionalism and respect are huge factors. Iv read almost everything you've posted on this forum and others and the thing that gets me the most is your sententiousness, like somehow your greater than the average man on said topic.

I am a strong believer that you can succeed on passion. Passion fuels motivation which prolongs dedication. Which you obviously have to survive all the rough comments. That being said you cant ignore or be oblivious to peoples comments. Everyone needs external consultation if they want to grow as no one is perfect.

So there, im being brutally honest with you. If you understand all that then im truly interested to see your response.

Make it civil and we're golden. If not you will be solidifying something that everyone thinks.

The point of me making threads is to get feed back and styling ideas for the kits design. If someone was to think a certain Ferrari bumper would look better, Im all ears, but the general feeling of the members here is to keep it stock thus no kit, no customers, no business.

I would like you to dig up some of my sententious remarks, Im sure Im in the right as always :D

Bang, right there. Picture perfect example.

And you dodged my bullet, more of a glancing blow actually. Your comments about this forum are correct, we are zed enthusiasts not kit car enthusiasts. When you do get feedback, absorb it then decide if it will effect your decisions.

By thinking your always right just negates feedback that you receive, do you understand that?

So, a level of respect to begin with with go a very long way. Be humble about what you do and how you converse.

You remind me of a Tibetan mantra, my favorite one.

    Its Om Mani Padme Om.

each symbol defines a certain trait or facet of a person.

and my interpretation is that we as humans are not perfect, but by striving to be the best, we are improving and becoming better people.

anyways, too deep for a midnight chat lol.

    enjoy.

Im all for custom work to a car (not a fan of replicas unless they are ground up kits of classics no longer for sale). So are most others on this forum as we are all, at least in some ways, car enthusiasts.

I think the majority of us would have supported arashis attempt at custom work, even if we didnt like his designs. Those of us with knowledge of fabrication and panel beating and design processes would have provided insights and guided him in the right direction to what he wants to achieve. Of course we dont agree to his taste but thats a different matter already discussed.

However, arashi has thrown away the opportunity to learn from the wise and do this project properly by being an immature arrogant clown. His work is half arsed, his approach is childish, his knowledge is nonexistant.

Even his photoshop skills are as bad as mine and i have the drawing ability of stevie wonder (it took me 50 attempts to get a smiley right).

If he hadnt come across as a bad joke, a total failure and a reject (his posts back my opinions) and an utter nuisance to anyone remotely interested in cars, he may have not been flamed so badly.

For starting such a shit storm on this forum, not for his fail design but for his attitude towards forum members and his own work which he himself hardly takes seriously, he should be banned.

Arash, stop screwing around and just build it already. Stop with the new ideas and stick with the original plan.

You say that you are not working, how are you going to afford the materials to make this kit?

    BADZX Grumpy old fart

    To be fair .....
the feedback has been totaly negative towards ALL of your mockups thus far, yet you have failed to take this onboard.

    Lets reverse the situation......
I want a std 300zx front bar and headlights fitted to my Ferrari ....
Who in their right mind would go down that path

If I wanted a certain Ferrari bumper .... I'd get it when I bought a Ferrari, mocking up one onto any car DOESNT make it "cool".... more TOOL.

You'd do far better if you designed your OWN front and not spend your life dreaming of copying (stealing) others designs and then grafting it to another body shape...... its simply plagerisim at its very worst.

Sadly..... the history of your threads would appear to be contradictory to that remark.

    Look pal,
I like the front on the new Mustangs, but to graft it onto my ZX.... sure I could do it if I wanted to but it will NEVER be right, its as logical as the Mustang owner wanting a Mitsubishi evo9 front fitted.....
it totally detracts from the shape of what is allready a true cool design.

If you want to be taken seriously, stop the grafting and design your OWN front...... even veilside looks better than what you have done so far.
Your bonnet could have some potential for sales..... but thats it so far.

    edit:

perhaps this thread should be re-named to post a pic of a front design that you would like to see stuck on a 300ZX

    here's a few for starters/
    BMW M5
    Dodge Charger RT
    RollsRoyce Silver Shadow
    Purvis Eureka
    Chrysler 300C
    Corvette Stingray
    Jaguar XJ12
    Ford.... model T

Respect goes both ways and Im not needy to sell kits to be always nice or keep a proper image... I want the final design to sell it self and of the many comments I've gotten over the year, only a few percent are about actual design anyway.

You make me feel like an artist, now I just need a drug problem to become a veteran. The internet is a vast place, there's lots of information to be had if one can search right.

Ill start with a few fiberglass kits and fit them on Zeds to sell them locally. For each one I sell, I'll have enough profit to make two.

Your trying to tell me you like design number one. The golden colour you gave the car looks really nice in that picture... and the undigested kernels, did it have popcorn that day?

    Like this?

    I disagree

We'll never know unless we try it, at the end of the day, humans design cars.

Well your wrong one one point there, firstly accept that your not always right.

As far as selling 1 kit to make 2 more...thats purely a guess you have no figures or anything. Your basically working on a wing and a prayer. A product will not always sell itself, disregarding the fact i dont like your design i wouldnt buy from you purely because your dodgey and arrogant and your methods are prehistoric.

There are people who dedicate their lives to marketing, distribution and the sorts. I think your underestimating the situation. If you really believe that its going to be a piece of cake because you think your design is great then your deluded.

Take on peoples advice, be polite, get help and you MIGHT have a chance. and i say might very loosely since youv shown nothing original and you do more photo shopping other crap onto the front than you actually do designing.

Whenever you design something you need a plan, making it up along the way will result in millions of complications. To not even know that made me instantly give up on you.

and my last piece of advice...that will inevitably fall on deaf ears. Photoshop is not a design program, its friggin bitmap, its made for photoediting..and not in the design sense. Use a vector based piece of software...hell in the same adobe suite you could use illustrator. Oh wait, you think formal training is useless so your stuck on basic photoshopping skills. see my point?

    probably not...

I dont need figures and stats to forecast anything, the car looks good in person already, once I make it shiny it will definitely sell.

I do think my kit will be that great... you say its not original? Please list the exotic cars that my design resembles. [IMG]

Call me spontaneous and photoshop has served me great so far.

And i was nearly tempted to write stop bagging on Arashi, at least he puts SOME effort in and doesn't just spend all day posting crap in the non z related forum. But spray painted newspaper and a very unsteady hand... jeez man get a big lump of clay and do it properly! don't wreck a beautiful car!

There have been rough concepts along the way.

Watch from 39 seconds to 45 seconds, not everything is structured to as what people in class rooms or television tells you.

For those of you bagging him due to not having any qualifications etc. on his resume, i'm sorry I didn't realise you needed a piece of paper to be smart, clever or creative.

if you want to make more money with next to no effort then just sell drugs..

this way you get done by the government rather then the car companies with high end lawyers backing them up..

    just a thought.
