just wondering how hard it is to swap over shocl absorbers between tqo cars.

Never touched the suspension or anything before. Can i just jack it up on the side of the road and undo a few bolts? Or is it harder than that?

na thats pretty much it, 2 bolts at the top and 1 at the bottom and just pull it out and replace :) i would advise that you get spring clamps and clamp the springs before you pull them out :) but be careful when taking the clamps off.

    depends...

do you want to change the shock and spring? generally it is fairly easy however you need a spring compressor and a good set of tools and there is always a nut that is a little jammed. it is a good time to check what else is worn and you will need a wheel alignment after the change. It takes me at home approx 40min( one corner) to do however make sure you use axle stands..... be safe no point in taking short cuts

just the shocks. Ive got my daily with stock 20yr old worn shocks and another zed with brand new ones. Just want to swap them over.

So i jack up the car, from the chassis? Then take off the wheel. Do brakes stay in place? I unbolt the shocks, and thats it?

Also im unaware of these spring clamps. What do they do and where do i use them?
Is it so the spring isnt in tension when i undo the bolt (so it doesnt explode in my face as soon as i undo a bolt), rather it compresses it so unbolting wont make it suddenly retract?
Are these Necessary to use? And would supercheap have them?

you dont have to touch any part of the brakes. u need spring clamps to take the tension out of them so you can actually pull them out. you can get spring clamps from supercheap for $20. with you suspension assembly there are 2 nuts you need to undo on top (located under the bonnet) and one at the very bottom (behind ur beak disc) you dont need to touch anything else.

You only need the spring clamps if you are removing the actual springs off the shocks,
if you fitting the whole thing (spring and shock) as one piece then all you need to do is remove the three bolts and pull it out,

nice. I might just do that since they both have standard springs. sounds a bit easier.

ABS sensors. And it's 1 x 10mm bolt each side, hardly removing the calipers
