Z32 Wire attached to FPCU

    Wondering if anyone would know the reasoning behind earthing the white wire that feeds from the fuel pump to the FPCU just before the plug of the FPCU itself.

    More chassis grounding to maintain a good current flow, or to cut down RFI to a controller board?
    I was amazed at the amount of chassis grounds on the Z32. Some made no immediate sense but later I realised the electronics
    were fairly ambitious but primitive by today's standards, and maybe needed extra ground points to cut down on RFI.

    We weren't using many shielded cables between control modules back then.
    But that's just me thinking out loud :)
