Finally got all 3 sets of HID lights on the car. Had to re-acquaint myself with why the high beam install is such a beeyatch but.... job done And night time is once again day With the PEX lighting mod too, I can have all three sets running at once. LOW Beam + High beam mod With the HID group buy winding up, I figured it a good time to remind everyone of this modification which will make driving with the HID lights safer. See the tech article for details.
I understand the lowbeam/highbeam HID, but do you also put HID's in the fogs? How? What glob? Where the FK do you find space for the ballasts???
H3 you need to cut a hole for wiring. there are 3 nuts for mounting the fog light, use any one of them to mount the ballast.
In the fog light you need to drill a hole for the wiring as mentioned, but they use a std H3 HID. I used slimline ballasts, therefore the lowbeams fit down the side of the headlight (outer side), and the high beam on the other side of the headlight (actually sort of under the nose panel). Ballast for the Fog lights could be secured at a number of points behind the front bar. Actually, the Fog light is the easiest to do, as the fog light can be removed from the Z and worked on outside of the car. Next easiest is the low beam, and the high beam is a PITA. Do you mean a pic of the wiring and installation, or the end result?
