I'm trying to decide what I like better, I'm swaying towards white. I know asking this won't help me make my mind up. Although, I would like to know which colour is favoured in a forum poll. So, stick in a vote, show an example if there is a nice one, whatever. Limit it to 1 picture per post. I'll start of with a few though.

Me personal preference would be black. If the first photo is black, it would more justice to my said preference as I'm a big fan of the ZED's anterior aspect. It's what makes it a classic IMHO.. :)

Ive been thinking exactly the same thing. I Cant decide either.

White is easier to keep clean.

But you can ignore a real clean black paint job. The mirror effect is priceless.

White is almosy 'camary' or 'toyota' in colour.

Red is good but the stock bodykit doesnt quite pull it off. Heavy metallic colours doint suit it either. It might be an age thing.

I might add black makes the car look 'longer' so it suits the 2 seater better. The 2+2 i think looks a tad too long sometimes.

Its a hard choice. Are you using a bodykit, what wheels?

White looks good only if the car is in absolutely pristine condition with a nice bodykit and wheels. and white as in pure white...not off white, beige or pus colour.
Black on the other hand looks good even if it's got shoddy paint and badly aligned panels, because it hides everything.

    I vote for white.

    Depends ......

what color is the car now ?
If your doing a respray, then you'll have a mountain of work ahead of you if its allready black and you want to go white..... everything will need to be painted so its a FULL stripdown

Black only looks good when its spotlessly clean and the body is 110% straight, the slightest bodyline imperfection stands out like a freshly shawn ram's balls on a hot day, and you'll spend endless hours dusting the car....my purple car is bad enough at showing up dust / road grime

& you HAVE to run chrome wheels.... nothing else suits black in that deparment !

White on the otherhand, tends to hide the dirty look much better, the missus white ZX has been parked un-used under the open carport now for nearly 2 months and is filthy when up close, yet once your 2~3 car lengths away it looks quite clean.... it also has several supermarket dents and none of these standout until your up close ( metre or closer )

    Another thing to consider......
The paint on ZX's is nearing 20years old in its "design"..... paint and the tech behind it has moved ahead rapidly and we can now get some awsome colors / tints / pearls etc compared to what they had "back then".....

    For example:
My purple ZX was originally factory midnight purple.... boring / dull /
I loved the ford phantom purple at the time but wanted it to be more blueish than balanced... so a large percentage of the red pearl was removed and the blue was increased.... this color now gives off an electric blue glow on the tighter edges and corners on the car in sunlight or camera flash and doesnt "look" phantom purple when parked next to a falcon thats the 'same color'......

If your going black then look into running a pure color tint, personaly I love the "urishi black"..... black with a high volume of small red flake pearl.... very trick color..... plenty of other combinations out there ;)

    Kingy

    p/s
    I havent voted...... ;)

even going white or black, you're spoilt for choices but f' the pearls and effects go straight white or black and use a good quality clear.

also depends, as mentioned above, how fastidious you are with keeping your car clean. dirt on black shows up a lot more than white. i think a brilliant white with no bodykit and nice wheels looks super clean and tough as, but its a sleeper taste.

black will only look sweet (like 3rd pic from top) if its always clean and buffed.

no vote. make up your own mind. your car - you're paying for it, you will live with it :p

Keep in minf the factory black was never a true black, in most cases it had a silver pearl or something.

    Agree with Simmo :D

And paint it gloss white, no stupid pearls or mettalics. Just White.

Black is nice but impossible to keep clean for longer than 10min, I wouldn't paint another car black...

Black even if it is hard to keep clean.
