No need to make a new thread Ben. Here's my suggestion....
... If you fly up on Thursday I can pick you up at COOLANGATTA. Drive out to Warwick with me on Friday. Warwick is 190km's west of Gold Coast/Brisbane.

Returning from Warwick on Monday I'll have room for PSA + 2 midgets but you'd have to arrange accommodation. Suggest Broadbeach as ideal location for GF, close to beach and good shopping... ask Pete and Jen about accommodation choices.

 

Good to hear you can make it Ben, you do know that bringing a girlfriend will just give Emma someone to gang up on you with, don't you?

Let this be a lesson to everyone... you vaguelly mention the smallest hint of information about your personal life and that's the one bit everyone can't let go. Don't think that asking about something completely unrelated like travel and accommodation recommendations will save you either... these guys have blinkers on.

Not sure I understood the intricacies of all the previous posts, I'm easily confused, but I think I got it right. Something about Tokyo and a complicated something and a girlfriend with some ganging up but your friends were going to help you out and see to it, with or without beer hooves. Did I get it right????

It's great to have friends !!!

One thing I do know is that I'll be bringing the Godfather to Warwick, then on to the Goldcoast for the week following. If you wanted a lift there then I'd be happy to help out if that fits. Either way, see you at Warwick.

dear ben....

having known you for the last 7.5 years, did you really think that trying to brush aside the whole girlfriend thing while dangling the "i'm coming to warwick" carrot infront of us as a distraction was going to work?? If it makes you feel any better, I quiz all my friends about their new girlfriends / boyfriends..

 

I cannot believe it's been 7.5 years. That's... that's depressing somehow? Makes me feel old.

Anyhoo, final plan is fly up to Brisbane on Thursday, catch up with K-Zed and get a lift to Warwick, then drive back to Sydney with DREDZ, so in the end it turned out relatively straight forward. I didn't even want to mention the fact that I have an EVO 8 sitting in Brisbane, then it would have been too many variables, so I'll just forget about that.
