Has anybody upped the stall speed on their torque convertor?

Whats the highest amount it can be increased while retaining the lock up function?

Interested to hear if anybody has done this and run bigger turbo's like the RS garretts.

Keen to hear how drivable a setup like this would be .

    Regards

Best having a chat to a specialist converter shop. My converter has been tweaked to get maximum stall out of it but i can't give you an exact stall speed figure. I have the GT28R turbos and it runs great. I will probably one day go a complete custom converter to get even more out of it but at the moment its still fun to drive. Getting 4.11 diff gears will amplify the effect too

The more torque the greater the converter will stall (when you load it up).

The higher the stall rating the less efficient hp transfer.
It actually can be a bit, this was the final decider to transfer to a manual. And i have 20's so i cant launch the car anyway :p.
