Can't wait to hear everyones feedback when they arrive. I will definately be in for the 2nd round if the quality is up to spec.

with the current exchange rate trend, these covers should be even cheaper for the 2nd round. I'm drooling over the complete tan leather replacement set mmm cant wait!

    Hi Mark
Tuner D said people should start seeing delivery of their covers and trim kits by the end of Feb. That's for those that ordered in time for the first round of this double round first batch. The tan covers shown in that new thread were ones that Tuner D already had in stock and were purchased outside of the GB parameters. So realistically, if I see the Trim Kit by the first or second week in March that should be good.
The next GB is slated to start at or near the end of March.

    Tan leather.......

    is what I have ordered!:zlove:

Dark OEM tan seats (front & back) with red feature stitching ( to match the red Z!) & matching tan 'Z' logos in the front seats!

Also ordered the full trim kit as well.........but I already have new handbrake & gear shift boots (kept these black with red stitching to match my steering wheel that I had re-covered recently!)

As soon as I have them in my hot little hands I'll get some pics up & give some feedback to everyone!........hopefully it will be ALL GOOD! ;)

Chris (Tuner D) is already talking of another GB around April I think??.......check the 3ZC thread for more info???..........but he did say that the pricing might not be quite as 'competitive' next time round as they have now accomplished their goal of making a name for themselves in the US Z world with these last 2 popular GB's!!

Maybe someone could twist his arm & run an Aussie GB for him???.......he may do a better deal that way to break into our market?? :zlove: :zlove:

    Just a 'Heads Up'!!!!!!

Jappo has mentioned on the 3ZC forum that he is 'probably' going to offer a GB for his seat skins to our forum here in OZ sometime in the 'near' future!

I have no idea of the details & exact prices so please don't ask!.......but I'll be pissed if it's cheaper than what I have already paid in this GB!!!!  :p :p

Just thought some of you may want to know so you can start getting cash sorted??? ;)

I'm still waiting on mine. I got in on the first round of the GB and that bulk shipment is due within a week or so. It hasn't been determined which orders from that bulk shipment have been completed or if it's all of the first round GB items. I'm not even sure if my RHD trim kit is included in there but Jappo will let us know within a week or so. I'm hoping mine is included in that first bulk shipment. If you didn'y order your Trim Kit in the first round GB, then you can probably guestimate the waiting period.

I imagine it may be a bit cheaper since he'll probably try to use a central point of contact for shipping purposes. That would be the deciding caveat as far as it possibly being a cheaper GB. But I can't see it being much of a difference. Has anyone stepped up and volunteered to be the AU point of contact and receipt for a bulk order. I think there may be a slight discount for that individual for their efforts since it will make Jappo's job much easier. Just food for thought. cheers,
    John

    Hey,

has anyone received their re-trim kit yet? any piccys?

Just got mine last week. No pic'ys yet but "TunerD" did post some of the trim kit itself. I didn't realize that the trim kit included the e-brake and shifter boot but they both need to be stitched together.
The leather quality looks quite good to me - quite thick and strong/durable feeling hide material.

    Not yet

TunerD told me on Tuesday the second batch is still another 2 weeks away. I hope my handbrake boot also doesn't arrived unstitched, as that will really piss me off.

    Almost

There was a small stuff up with mine (Chris has a 2 seater trim kit put aside rather than a 2+2). He resolved that pretty quickly, but we got held up with shipping costs.

Original quote was $140 USD for shipping, but he said that is now $355 USD !!! due to misquote and that all kits coming to Australia will be $355. I've been trying to find cheaper (but still reliable) shipping and can't get anything cheaper.

He isn't lying about the price, as he sent me the dimensions.

    28in x 24in x 6in (and roughly 25lb).

Dumb thing is UPS use Australia Post here in Australia and likewise Australia Post uses UPS. They (UPS) wanted either $375 USD or $400 USD (can't remember exact price at the moment), but if going Australia to US, AusPost only wanted $180 AUD!

I told him I'd bite the bullet and pay that price, but I haven't heard back since, so I'm guessing it hasn't left yet......if I'm lucky and he sends it out tomorrow (so Monday US time) I MAY have it on Friday, otherwise early next week.

He did say a couple of the Australian kits had already been sent out.

    Cheers

    I"m pretty dark about this!!!!

    Just got my email today!

So after sending out shipping quotes to all of us back in Jan AND asking for the FULL AMOUNTS TO BE PAID UPFRONT!!!!!..........plus charging the Aussies customers an EXTRA 3% to pay via Paypal because they couldn't process Aussie credit cards!!!!.............now after waiting almost 6 months to get the orders we find out that the shipping quotes are over 33% wrong???.......& we are being asked to fork out even more $........and probably another 3%!!!

    What the!!!!

I bet there's fat chance of a refund now as well seeing as they already have all my cash!!!

After selling 80+ sets of these things in this GB alone you think they would offer to wear the extra $ for a handful of sets to be sent to Oz???........what is there like 4 or 5 of us max??.........I'm sure they would still make a tidy profit!

AND there is no guarantee that we all won't get slugged yet with import duties AND GST!!!!!

Anyone else a bit dark about this???

I was so close to be in on this. Hearing the latest stories about shipping costs I'm glad I stayed out. Had a funny feeling.

But, a quote is a quote. If I were to quote one of my customers $x for shipping, $x it is regardless if I screwed up.

    And leather can be rolled up and folded, does not have to be 28in x 24in x 6in. How about 16in x 16in x 16in ? Any cheaper ?
