I have rear tt rims off a U.S. spec. vehicle. They are 16/8.5 inch rim.
    Recommended tyre size is 245/45/16.
My question is how wide a tyre can I go without flaring? Or scraping issues.
    255/45/16? - 265/45/16?

    Correction 255/45/16 any ideas
After calculations 255/45/16 is the tyre I need. Any ideas local or abroad?

275 18x35 is what I have, your tires aren't rubbing on the guards beans, their smashing clones from footpaths.

well when i hit a decent bump they rub and either that or bottoming out the slammed suspension causes me to be the clown heading for the footpath.

Those Pirelli pzero's look pretty good, I'm eying them up too
I'm running t1r proxes at the moment and are really good but man pretty hard to find them in the country now

St George tyres can sometimes have stock lying around not listed.
Give them a buzz too, maybe able to help

Where did you get them from, and can you please get me a pair? :)
I started a dialogue with a Californian Z32 wrecker about 9 years ago about buying a whole bunch of 8.5" rims for a possible group buy for us die-hards who want to look stock and be less sideways in the rain. But he ducked and weaved too much about the freight and the condition of the rims.

I got the 8.5" US rims from Concept Z performance, brand new maybe 6yrs ago. Not sure if they are still available.

I didn't know that Pirelli made the 245's.
The Toyo T1R is still available from Tyre Power, I asked today. I love Pirellis, damn good tyres.
As a matter of interest, how much were the Pirellis? I think I paid nearly $300/tyre for the Toyos when I got the 8.5" rims.

How are they working out mate? I'm still on the Proxes R1-R's on stock 7.5" rims, they work. A lot of tyre but a lot of money for the size. No longer available so I'll have to try T1-R's sooner or later.

Tyre power aye, excellent. I'd prefer to buy the t1r's than the probably more expensive pzero's.
And those 8.5 and 7.5 wheels are now discontinued.

Hi Mick, hope your sitting down, 2 used US spec tt rims 8.5×16 delivered cost $800 aust. From Z1. Excellent condition but dirty. However they clean up like new.

    pmac Z,, IT'S COMPLICATED!!!!!

    What offset do you have?
I'm looking at getting new rims to fit a 305 rear, thinking about 40mm offset would work.
