The Good:

Stock 3.0 Lt VGDETT engine

K&N air filter

2 x AVO Blow Off Valves

Gearbox and Diff functional with no known issues


The Not so Good:

Heat Core damaged and has been bypassed

Air Conditioner system needs maintenance

Right hand instrument cluster damaged

Seats need reupholstering

Paint chipping to rear bumper from minor fender bender

Slight damage to rear wheel arch from accident

Rear spoiler needs respray but undamaged

 

bloody hell can you really buy a twin turbo Z with 12 months rego for $1500? crazy

 

Compression test on cylinders?
Timing belt done?
Exactly what's wrong with the ac?

God dammit, if this was in WA i woukd snap it up in a heart beat. One of my favorite colours on the zeds. Good luck with the sale, i would be astonished if it lasts more than a couple days

If anyone interstate is considering this car, FYI I went to have a look and took it for a test drive yesterday. Was considering buying it as a parts car but I don't have the heart to take apart an honest running car.

It's worth more than $1500. Deserves to be put back on the road!

Unbiased opinion:

Drives straight, pretty much a stock TT auto.

Doesn't blow any smoke

Boosts fine but feels a bit lazy, might just be because it's stock and it's auto?

For RWC will need at least new brakes, basically got a massive lip on the rotors. Will need new fluid too as it's been sitting too long and need a lot of pedal pressure to pull up.

Power steering has a slow leak so that's a RWC issue depends on how strict your guy is.

94 so electric hicas and newer CAS.

Has the usual oil pressure sender problem. Barely registers anything on cold start, when it gets hot the reading goes to 0.

If anyone wants more pics I can post them up.

no there's no compression test results
just needs a bit of maintenance really so assume 100k service, at the very least new timing belt
AC probably just needs gas

 

I am going to strip the one I have now but I am looking at getting another one the body it’s self has major issues that u can’t see until carpet is lifted so I’m looking for a shell that’s only had the engine and box removed but I want the rest in good condition/clean don’t want to let anything go till I get another one so I no wot I need I’m not happy at all but at lest I can use all the parts iv brought on the next one wold like a black or the the same collor I have now

Iv been thinking of this one but lol the collor and the dint in behind the door can’t see it properly in the pictures if it was black or dark gray I’d b all over it lol

 

My sell has been in a major accident they have cut the lh door pillar out and half the lh flooring can’t see it from outside but lift the carpet the floor pan it’s self isent welded together just over laped only welded it to the mono rail leaks big time and is structural so I’m stripping it out and I’ll use the parts

Yes it is I’m looking at it that I can use wot iv done on the other car so I’m looking for another shell that’s just had the motor and box removed wold like sumthing clean and tidy wold like it black or dark gray thinking of putting a set of rings and bearings through it and a new oil pump and timing belt so I know it’s ok
