7 starters; the metal jacket under drives P/steering only.

Really? I thought water/alt were also? Thoughts on high rpm cavitation issues? Or a non issue? And im not talking road car scenario

Nope metaljacket series definitely have standard size aircon and water pump pulleys for max belt wrap etc, and under driven power steering (I'd post the link but their website seems to be down, I had copied it into the original post though).

Personally I don't think it's an issue; but if you want to try under driving the water pump I'd be happy to give you a GTR water pump pulley which will do exactly that. I have no intention of ever re fitting it and nobody has shown any interest in buying so yours for free if you can use it

Interesting. The original metaljacket def does underdrive. I had it side by side with OEM last weekend.

Happy to take free stuff :D

How under-driven is the PS pump?

    Time to get moving.

What ecu is everyone using? After speaking to link recently I'm going to go with 36-2 for anyone using a link, and 12 (no missing teeth) for anyone using haltech. Both are standard configurations for Ross so readily available.

    My understanding is

    1. Magic Mike---metal jacket---36-2
    2. Syntax_x---metal jacket---12
    3. ZXOCET---race series---36-2
    4. rob260---race series---36-2
    5. Chewy---street series---12
    6. Leif meister---metal jacket---36-2

Just wanted to chime in and clarify one thing as i recently got a question about it.
Its the haltech PRO PLUGIN ecus that can only have 12 crank theeth.
On ecus like the PS1000/2000 or Elite`s and so on you can run whatever you wish really...

I did some reading on this and yeah the plug ins are locked to nissan's 24+1 configuration as you said. I've read that this can be unlocked via firmware update from haltech, but it'd be one of those "buyer beware" things...

    From Haltech online support.

No, the only options on the Pro are 360+6 (factory), or 12+1. We don't have any firmware for other patterns.

PS2000 + Patch loom was the 'plug in' solution before the Pro Plugin (direct replacement) was developed.
We do now have an Elite 2500 + patch loom kit for the RB's (which I believe use an identical pinout to the Z32) which would allow you to use any trigger pattern if that's a strong desire for you.

As an RB guy myself, I've found the 12tooth crank kits to give a perfect RPM signal even with big power/10000rpm setups, so I wouldn't imagine a higher tooth count will be a huge advantage.

Yes i suspect the FW update Rob is refeering to is in fact the one they made to be able to run the 24/12+1 disk/wheel. That option wasnt there from the begining.
