Stock calipers are quite big on these cars, second only to the GTR brakes as when they came out and physically possibly just as big.

Ah okay, wow never knew that! Just had a look and it looks like they might actually be the stock ones.

I did have an intention to do aftermarket brakes possibly down the track but it seems since I have brake issues it might be best just to do them sooner rather than later.

Can anyone recommend options for brakes?

    Iridium's?

What brand & part number are the Iridium spark plugs?

The numbers of the spark plugs specified in the Nissan Factory Service Manual are NGK numbers. :)

NGK don't have Iridium spark plugs available for the Z32 Twin Turbo. :(

Mine has always been 13.8+, over 14 after cold start, although they are temperature compensated so I guess if it's super hot up in NT that might account for it.

It is not uncommon to have voltage drop between the battery terminals and the ecu talk unit

    Re: BKR6EIX-11 Spark Plugs

NGK BKR6EIX-11 Spark Plugs are for the VG30DE Normally Aspirated engine, not the Twin Turbo.

I guess the other possibility is also my battery is not quite healthy? They tend to be pretty average up here with all the heat.

The information I have is that the JSpec TT plugs are the same as the N/A. Also that the iridiums I got are the same heat range and gap size as the platinums. Apparently the US TT's have different plugs in them however.

Just from what I've read and have seen other forum posts by other members here about the JSpec TT's and iridium plugs.

I was skeptical concerning the JDM NA's & TT's using the same spark plugs, so I've researched it, looking for irrefutable evidence.

The result of the research has determined that the JDM NA & TT Z32's do indeed use the same spark plugs.

Also able to confirm BKR6EIX-11P spark plugs are genuine Nissan Parts.

No real need to go aftermarket Brembo's unless you are tracking your car.
The Standard Turbo brake callipers are larger than the Standard NA callipers.
The Turbo Callipers will do a very good job of stopping you even on standard rotors.
Just go with good quality brake pads. Not "Green Stuff" brake pads as they squeal until they are warmed up.
Just ask the guys from ZedFest 2012 (Dubbo) LOL. We had a member who had the "Green Stuff" pads and we could hear him from the back of the pack of 12+ cars.

Haha nice! Alright thanks for that well I might try hook up this disconnected brake line and see if I can get the caliper working then replace the pads and all that to see if my brake issues go away otherwise I'll try find some stock stuff around the place to buy. Cheers

Okay so after getting out the parts diagrams and having a look at the part number that's entirely missing from my front left brake assembly, it seems that part number 46246-33P10 (front left brake line) is missing. It seems to be a solid metal line with threaded ends so I assume I cannot just throw anything random in there.

Nissan spare parts can order it in from Japan ($30 only which is pretty good) however there is a 6-8 week lead time. She checked the Nissan spare parts database Australia wide and found no Nissan spare parts/dealers have it in stock.

Wondering if anyone around here might have one laying around even if it's second hand (as long as it works)

Also what brake pads are recommended for a '97 300ZX?

1:Booster is leaking, bad master or air in the lines.
2.best bet is to find a local mechanic that has a smoke tester, this will pressurize your system with smoke and will clearly show any and all of your leaks. Well worth the labor charge to save you countless hours of drawing straws.
3.sounds like automatic trans fluid but could possibly be a brake fluid.

You should able to get a brake line made locally. Just the reverse of the one on right hand side. Brake Masters here in Brisbane always made mine. Must have someone in Darwin that does this, just need a flaring tool and pipe bender.
Unfortunately the brake line you are after has been modified on my crashed 300zx to accommodate Wilwood brakes

Hey mate, you're correct, I should have advised I've since sorted the brake line issue. Enzed can make them locally. :)
