Date: Sunday 13th December 2015
Venue: Winnererremy Bay Foreshore Reserve. 2 Mona Street (Enter via Pittwater Road), Mona Vale
Time: 11:00 am till after 3:00pm

Meeting time: You're invited to meet from 11:00am onwards at the Reserve and all of you are welcome to join us whenever convenient throughout the day.

Parking:
There's plenty of parking on the reserve grounds and surrounding streets (Mona Street and Eric Green Drive) but, as with any venue these days, spots fill up fast especially on weekends and especially in the Christmas lead up period. Please note that in line with an increasing number of recreation areas - pay and display parking fees will apply to most parking spaces on the reserve and possibly surrounding streets.

Lunch options:
There are decent undercover and open area picnic facilities in the park. So feel welcome to bring the family for a picnic lunch.

And, the is the Flying Fox Café. Meals here are in range of $10.00 - $25.00 per head. I would strongly suggest making a booking at the café, and I am checking on their bookings policy now. They also serve a wide range of hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages. (I am also checking on their liquor licence status and will let you know asap).

After lunch, we will hold a small fundraiser raffle. There will be 4 identical (mystery) prizes with a value of at least $30.00 or more. Tickets will be available for $2.00 ea. You are also welcome to make any cash donations to the Association. Payments can be made to either myself or (Rob260) on the day.

During the day, there's plenty of opportunity for a catch up with other forum members. As always, there's a few of us shutterbugs that are willing to grab a few shots of your rides.

Just an update

If you wish to make a booking for lunch at the cafe, here's the details.
As I said in the initial post.. I strongly suggest making a booking if you wish to dine etc. - Alternatively, there also facilities for BBQ / picnic etc.

Well, so much for my participation on this day, I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately I've had a rather drastic set back after having an altercation with a circular saw which resulted with some nasty damage to my right hand (I'm right handed) so can't put the 'Z' back together now in time for Christmas, very disappointed. I'll get it back together one day & looking forward to catching up with you all.

Hi everyone.. look, don't be shy to attend if your car's off the road.. you can still have a great day without the zed.. heck, mine's been off the road for months now.

Not to sound unsympathetic, but even if you're injured.. yell out to the forum, someone might be able to give you a lift over etc.

If anyone's struggling to get there and you're somewhere close to me (Carlingford) or on the way to the venue, I am happy to help out with a lift too.

Don't forget to contact the cafe if you wish to make a booking - otherwise, there are BBQ facilities there in the park.

I will bring a small esky and some assorted juices, soft drinks and plastic cups etc.

Look forward to seeing everyone there.. looks like we have about 20 coming (as per the facebook event page etc)

Kerry and I will be at Ibis Darling harbour on 13th and could use a ride if possible, else we will have to take the Mercedes (public transport bus).

Don't think I'll be able to get to this. 1.5hrs public transport ride from CBD

 

I'm hoping to be able to make it in the afternoon, depends how much work I get done today. What time will people be hanging around till?
