    Hey guys,

Just thought this may interest some of you. I just bought a nitrous kit for my stock turbo/E85 zed after seeing the results Mark(Z32 TT) had. Although ultimately i know my ET's will be slower than what they could be due to being a 5spd i'm pretty confident the car will be able to run a decent time :D

I ended up choosing a "Wizards of NOS Street Blaster 150i2" Wet kit for a few reasons but the main ones were the solenoids never need servicing and have a lifetime warranty, while other companies use the same generic stuff which needs rebuilding every so often. Also these Solenoids are made to be pulsed and pulse very well.

    In the end i got:
The 11lb bottle upgrade with a maxflow valve.
Two Billet X-10 Fuel Pulsoids, one per bank as close as possible to stop any chance of a lean nitrous hit.
One Billet X-10 Nitrous pulsoid, capable of upto "150HP" theoretical gain.
    Jets for 25,50,75,100HP

I will also buy a controller for it to activate from 4000-6500 and only during WOT, i could have ordered one from WON but i couldn't stretch the budget this time as the cost is already fairly high but i will make additions to it as time goes on.

:vomit: put it in. One purge up your window and you'll be hooked. Pretty sure I used a 170 buck bottle in purging :D

Hopefully the new walbro 485 will be able to keep up with a 100 shot, I'll see how comfortable i feel pushing it.

The kit i use is designed not to leak and never need servicing like those cheap US made kits. When used properly and the proper precautions are taken nitrous is as safe as any other power adder.

Although if johnny tran and his cousin lance in the snake skin pants shoot my car up with uzi's I'll make sure to yell "NAWZ" and run away....

The reasons for a nitrous backfire are:

Bad component choice resulting in a failure, eg a fuel solenoid pudding fuel in your plenum OR not activating at all

Activating the nitrous while the engine is bogged or at too low an rpm

You tap the rev limiter while the nitrous is activated

It doesnt explode by itself for no reason, the kit i use is designed to lower the chances of these things happening.... thats why it costs in excess of $2000 compared to an $7-800 N.O.S kit ;)

But please go on, oh wise one, with all your knowledge from watching internet videos.

Chances are that car had multiple stages and the 2nd stage could have been jetted too rich..... or the solenoid stuck open.

I've researched N2O at great lengths and in my opinion, the kit you have bought out strips anything available currently. As you would know it's the place where the jet is installed that makes the difference. No purge required in these systems once the liquid is up to the solenoid!

The law enforcement in QLD have a no tolerance policy if any component of an N2O kit is found in a vehicle, operational or not.

I agree the WON kit is the best on the market, whether others agree is upto them. I was sold on the no servicing needed and lifetime warranty, then add in the fact that the whole system from bottle valve to lines have been designed to deliver liquid nitrous the entire time.

I think thats the law here in NSW too now, i remember several years ago it was legal to have the solenoids and lines fitted aslong as the bottle was removed but now that has changed. I do have some sneeky ways to hide it but i think i'll just take the whole thing out for the street and just use it for the drags. Its not worth losing my car over tbh.

Alright i have some idea's on how i'm going to fit this whole thing.

I was planning on making some brackets to hold the solenoids in this position, along with something to tuck the lines right against the radiator which would be wrapped in thermal shielding to stop heat getting to the lines and making the liquid nitrous turn to gas. Then i could pop the fan shroud back on the no one would know.

Then i was planning to mount the crossfire injectors here, which i will paint black and with the lines tucked away and wrapped in flexible conduit.
