Installed the NA power steering pump on the twin turbo engine only to find that the belt does not align with the harmonic balancer. How have others over come this issue when changing pumps over?

    Thanks Will

tassuperkart Its a lie I tell you!

Compare the pulleys and change over if necessary.

The Na pump is set back closer to the block, my issue is the belt is misaligned with the TT harmonic balancer I have the TT pulley on the pump.

mine bolted up fine using the NA pump bracket, no belt alignment issues.
Stupid question, is the pulley on the PS pump the correct way? if it was on the wrong way then maybe the backspacing would result in some offset between the crank pulley and the PS pump.

NA power steering pumps use a 3 rib belt, while TT power steering pumps use a 4 rib belt. You sure your alignment problem isn't from different width pulleys? Just putting the 3 rib belt on the 4 rib harmonic balancer is fine, mine's been like that for ages now with no issues. Alternatively you should be able to fit the 4 rib pulley off the tt pump to the na pump.

I have both the TT pulley and balancer on it, it's just that its all off set. I'll take a photo of it and upload, just bit hard to explain.

Put the NA pulley back on and use a 3 rib belt and it will be aligned.
