Just throwing it out there. What's been peoples worst interruptions whe you've either been working on the Z, or when driving the Z. Etc? For me, it's right now. I'm on call with work. But currently im waiting at work for a customer to arrive. This simple task is interrupting me, sanding the Z down. I'm currently a wash with coloured dust, waiting in the car, with the warm sun out. I must admit I've been lucky all week to not have this sort of event happen. As I've been on call all week. What's yours???
Casual worker at a chain of pubs, so whenever I have a day off and start working on the Z, I almost always get called in -.-
I work all day in the city, but I don't live in the city. Every day I get home at 7, think "oh I can do this, it'll be a half-hour job!", and it takes 2 hours, the sun goes down, bedtime approaches, I get hungry...nothing ever gets done.
When you think you are about done and the wife comes out and picks up something you missed an hour before and asks "what's this for?". Ok so it wasn't on a z but she did it on one car..... Just screwing the air filter on to the Darby and she picks up the new thrust bearing....... Normally with the z its her making suggestions as to what may be wrong. Fair enough she has a good basic idea of what's going on but 99% of the time I have already checked her idea about 10 times already
Haha Yeah, having the end of my finger torn off by the timing belt while my partner was asking if I needed anything from the shop. Do they sell fingers at the shop?
ouch Thats gotta hurt For me it was discovering that I had left the sandwich plate out from between the motor and gearbox on the zed just after I had finnished putting the motor back into the car The funny thing is that the only reason I discovered it is because I had done the same thing the day before when working on a mates xf falcon Silly me

They saved it by taking flesh from the bottom part of my finger and sewing it up top. Lots of scars, just more to add to my collection really The pic of the flesh and finger nail was discovered by my father a couple days after the accident under the car, so there was no saving that haha. Dog wouldn't eat it either, what a waste!

and having an erection... like you want to have a play but your hands are dirty, and you dont want your missus coming home and asking why your shalong smells like axle grease.... and if you leave it untreated it can get caught on exhaust pipes under the car... probably should start wearing pants in the garage too and if you are leaning on the car ie in the engine and you start to grind a little it feels gay that you are grinding your car
Not on my Zed but on my Prelude - bottom shifter cable boot tore and I couldnt get 2nd 4th or reverse...had to drive like that for a week before a day off to get it fixed. Worst interruptions normally are getting under the car, maneouvering into position...and realising I left the goddamn tools out of my reach. That, or when everything seems fine, you put it all together and either some part is similar but wrong, or you forgot something that necessitates pulling everything back off again to rectify. Thankfully, I actually learn and only ever do this shit the first time. Once bitten, twice shy.
Can't be gay if you're calling them a girls name... Yeahhhh I'm often caught out butt nekkid around my car... I was washing my car in just my undies the other week and a car full of old girls went past to see the house up the road for sale... I started to bar up when they slowed down to have a perve... They later stayed for the show. Old girls FTW.
