Hi all Just to let you all know the Burgundy bullet is sold (3 weeks ago), so I am now Zedless. With the purchase of the S/charged FPV to more accommodate family life and full sized people(s), combined with only enough room to keep 2 cars here at the house, the Z had to go. Caitlyn is nearly up to my shoulder now and it was getting a squeeze already with the 3 of us in the Z. It was a sad day indeed to see her driving out of the yard for the last time. It has gone to a good home and I have encouraged the new owner to get involved with us. I had spent around $5k on bits and pieces in the 2 months prior to sale, so hopefully it will provide good service to its new owner. I thought you all deserved to know, I just found it difficult to start the thread as it's been 7 years of Z ownership. A big and important part of my life. Most importantly, I have made many good friends here in this community, which I will keep for a lifetime.
QLD moderator thing Is it? First K-zed, now you. What's your plans Karl?. Damn Oni has something to answer for. Sorry to see it go Greg, somebody is going to get a nice ride.
Sorry to hear, Greg. Perhaps a change to mods is in order as I would never sell the Z because it isn't a good family car, that's why I have a daily! You either have the passion for the Z32, or it's just a car. I'm surprised at the people who've been selling at late & the huge decline is sales prices. Greg, would you be willing to say how much you sold it for?
Hmm... a top condition Z no doubt... Hope you get back into one in the future... ...condolences? or Congratulations?
Sorry to hear you are Zedless, but these things happen when you have a family. At least you'll be easy to pick at a Zed meet. The guy with the Ford FPV coat, salivating and calling "shotgun" whenever one starts up. If ever we meet up I'll toss you the keys so you can take a drive just to keep the "fix" alive.
$11k. I also have an additional car primarily for towing the boat and caravan. It's a beaut car but it's big, heavy and 5.8 meters long. Tammy has difficulty parking it. Tammy also had difficulty with the z, and it was manual. Family comes before all else jono. also to have 3 cars here would be impossible. My back yard is also the business carpark. So, for us, we need a car with 3 ton towing for the boat, something as a daily/weekender that can fit at least 3 adults comfortably. I only have physical room for 2 cars. You see our dilemma. Caitlyn did insist if we got something else it had to be faster. What a revhead she is LOL. I'm the same person I was a month ago, my passion has not diminished, just life's practicality has to take a front seat for a while. Thanks for the offer of retirement, but I'll be staying around
I do see your delemma, sorry if I came across as attacking. Just sad to see a lot of long time members selling up. I would have considered your Z worth a lot more than 11k, but sadly the market doesn't. Not a good time to sell anything currently.
