I think it's a damned nice looking bonnet BUT, It's my understanding that ANY bonnet that has vents capable of dispensing coolant/engine oil or other fluids onto the windscreen are strictly 'verboten' on our roads.
Those rear-facing vents would have to be fed by a totally sealed airflow from in front of the radiator core.:(:zlove:

That debate exactly is going on in the "GF's new Z" thread... let's not repeat it :)

Either way, I don't care. I'd run it anyway. :zlove:

Perhaps QLDers are better at peering through layers of blinding crap, than we NSW denizens(we just know it when we hear it).:p:rofl::rofl::rofl::br:

We can tell the difference between windscreen wipers and indicators, and how to opperate them accordingly :)

I know nothing of this so-called debate, nor am I going to get involved in it.
What I DO know is that I had my registration cancelled on an HK Monaro for exactly that breach of NSW requirements.
I had to replace my bonnet with a non-vented one(or ensure that ALL rear facing vents exited the bonnet AHEAD of the engine/radiator).
So, the NSW Police and RTA did not agree with Tekky.:p:zlove::zlove:

You've lost me on that one! Much too obscure.:zlove:
BTW, have you ever tried to clear engine oil off a windscreen, using the wipers? Good Luck!!!

I remember somebody had that bonnet for sale a while back...

I was merely re-distributing another side to an argument that was expressed in a manner so vehement that I figured it might warrant some merit. I too was under the impression that rear-facing vents were a 'no-no'. In the thread that I quoted from I also tried to present that supposed stipulation to the OP of said thread, so if anything I'd be on your side :p

    'Tis a fine bonnet though...

Tell that to 100's of A9X owners who had them from stock. Also E type Jags and a 100 others that have them from stock.

Also if you care to pull the Australian Standard it talks about the hook radius and height, NOT direction they face.

Find me Gov text that says "rear facing vents are not allowed" and I will believe you.

I have looked at there isnt any.

If you got defected for this THEN YOU GOT SCREWED by cops that didnt know better.
